I have many ripe banana in home so i want to try my sister's Banana bread which i love very much. The very first reason is its taste, which is sweet but not too sweet. This is the moist & healthier low calorie version of whole wheat banana bread.

Here i am preparing whole wheat banana bread with walnuts. Lets get started...
Step 1: Ingredients
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups of whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup of hot water
- 1 tsp coffee
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- Cooking oil spray
* 9 x 5 inch loaf pan
Preheat oven to 165 degree C (325 degree F). Grease the pan with cooking spray
Mash banana with spoon or fork.
Step 2: Combine Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, beat oil, honey and brown sugar. Add the eggs and beat well. Mix the mashed banana, vanilla essence and stir it.
Step 3: Add Flour & Nuts
- Stir in flour and salt. I added some coffee powder to the batter.
- Mix baking soda to hot water and then add to batter.
- Stir well with the chopped walnuts
- Spread batter into the prepared loaf pan
- Bake it for 60 -65 minutes. Insert a toothpick when it comes out clean then the bread is ready.
Step 4: Cool the Loaf
Cool the loaf on wire rack for 1/2 hr before slicing.
Moist and Yummy banana bread is ready.Enjoy it anytime. According to your taste bud, drizzle some honey or chocolate sauce to it. Happy Baking.
