Introduction: The Bored Box

If you enjoy tinkering or building small things this is the instructable for you!

This is a little instructable about what I like to call my Bored Box.

A little background first, when I'm not doing anything I tend to get bored easily. to remedy this I started making random things when I got bored, desktop catapults, mini crossbows, grappling hooks, tiny cars and all sorts of other things that effectively kept me from being bored. A good friend of mine noticed this and for Christmas got me a present a box labeled " Open if Bored," inside was all manner of useful things, such as pencils, rubber bands, paperclips, tape and of course (in the Christmas spirit), mini candy canes. It was awesome, when I got home I upgraded it a little and now I can make any number of things to keep me from being bored, hence the name Bored Box.

Step 1: Materials

Here is the materials needed for your very own Bored Box:

  • 1 box ( mine is an 8x5 Vaultz box )
  • zip ties
  • 4 feet of picture hanging wire
  • 4 feet of copper wire
  • wire cutters
  • pack of paperclips
  • rubber bands
  • binder clips
  • small electric motor
  • 9 volt battery
  • magnets (neodymium)
  • needle
  • thread
  • string
  • anything else you can think of ( that can fit into the box of course )

Step 2: Uses

With this box you can make just about anything you'd ever wish to make, from pencil crossbows, paperclip catapults, mini fans, and cool things to art project and mini sculptures if you are so inclined (I am not very artsy)

Have fun with it! and please vote for this instructable in the Small Spaces Contest

Thanks!
