About: I like all projects involving LED's, from the basic kitchen lighting to creating something never seen before. Bring on the diodes!

showing how an LED business card works and looks. Checking out the circuit board and the strip lighting/power that goes with it.

    Sorry for noob question.

May I know what is the principle of controlling RGB LED strips?
What kind of signal does the 4 wires receive from the controller?
    Digital? Analogue? Square Wave?
How is the colour and intensity varied?
Is the LED strip itself a smart device or passive?

Can this controller work with all types of 12V RGB LED strips?
Can any controller with any type of 12V RGB strip?

    Thanks!

-Digital, as it is all digital tech.

-Voltage I assume, it could just be a different bit battern being tansfered via the cables.

-I image it is passive, it is just a few LEDs, resistors (maybe) and wires.

An even smaller version of this controller is now available: http://www.elementalled.com/ElementalLED-Store/Full-Color-LED-Products/Mini-RGB-LED-Controller-486/product.html

What is a good name, I want it to make sense and people to have an idea what it will be about. I am open to suggestions to change the name. Thanks
