Introduction: Timer Headlights Car

I'm doing this on a 2007 Honda Element but should be possible on any car provided you find the ground and the wiring isn't to complex. My super simple solution is to wire an AC spring loaded wall timer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003A5CQ4A/ref=o...

The best solution is probably to wire your headlights to your ignition but requires minimum knowledge of relays and an open fuse on your fuse box. https://www.instructables.com/id/Turn-Off-Headligh...

You are going to need to take apart your headlight/light switcher from your dash.

The green wire above is the ground. All you need to interrupt this wire to essentially make a cut off.

Step 1:

This isn't the finished product but should illustrate how the wiring should look when working.

Honestly any wire should probably work.

I believe I used 12g with some but connectors.

Ideally you want to shrink warp the tubes https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003A5CQ4A/ref=o...

Step 2: The Finished Product

Now the finished product is that the headlights will cut off after 30 minutes if you don't touch them or you can turn it left to keep them always on.
