Toffee Apple (Caramel Apple) Popcorn

Step 1: Toffe Sauce


220g / 1 Cup Popcorn Kernels

113g / 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter

200g / 1 Cup light Brown Sugar

1tbsp Black Treacle

118ml / 1/2 Cup Apple Juice

1tsp Vanilla Extract

1tsp Baking Soda

Dried Apple (Chopped)

Begin by popping the popcorn kernels and removing all the un-popped seeds. Melt the butter, sugar, treacle, apple juice and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Simmer on a low heat for 10 minutes and add the baking soda. Pour the sauce over the popcorn and mix until all the popcorn is coated in the sauce. Add the dried apple pieces and stir into the popcorn. Pour the popcorn onto a baking tray and bake the popcorn for 8-10 minutes at 170 degrees celsius / 338 degrees fahrenheit.
