Tortilla Tropical Ice Cream Sundae

In this instructable I will show you how to make tortilla tropical ice cream sundae. To create the ice cream I am using a tropical ice cream smoothie that contains lots of fresh fruits. To create a waffle I add two small tortillas with chocolate, syrup and pecan nuts.

So leave room for dessert today and start making this tortilla tropical ice cream sundae.

Step 1: Overview

To make this recipe you need lot's of fresh fruit. I like to use tropical fruits but if they are not available choose the fruits that you like the most. I used:

  • banana
  • mango
  • pineapple
  • kiwi
  • blue berries
  • raspberries

Blend them until you have a smoothie consistentie. Take a cake/bread pan and poor the smoothie into he pan. Freeze overnight or at least 4-6 hours. Take out of the freezer 15 minutes prior to using it.

For the tortilla waffles I use two small tortilla's that I brush with agave syrup and sprinkle with brown sugar, chocolate powder and pecan nuts. Cut in four before putting in the oven at 350℉ for 8-10 minutes.

Plate on a small plate cutting the ice cream decorating with the tortilla waffle and some additional chocolate powder. Take two tbsp of home made nutella and put in the microwave for 30 seconds or until runny. Drizzle some chocolate nutella sauce on top of the ice cream and your dessert is ready.

Step 3: What Do You Need to Make This Recipe

1 banana

1 mango

2 kiwi

1 cup of pineapple slices

1 cup of raspberries

2 small tortillas

1 tbsp of brown sugar

1 tbsp of agave syrup

1 tbsp of chocolate powder

2 tbsp of home made nutella

Step 4: Instructions

  1. Blend banana, mango, kiwi, pineapple slices, raspberries until smooth
  2. Put into a cake pan and freeze over night
  3. Take out of the freezer 15 minutes before serving
  4. Pre heat the oven at 350℉
  5. Brush tortillas with agave syrup and sprinkle with brown sugar and chocolate powder
  6. Cut the tortilla into four
  7. Heat for 8-10 minutes
  8. Put the tortillas on a plate and top with ice cream
  9. Warm some home made nutty nutella in the microwave so it turns into chocolate sauce. Drizzle on the ice cream
  10. Serve immediately

    Wow this looks amazing! I love the professional photography as well. One thing, though would be to make your instructables with multiple steps with pictures on each fundamental step of progress involved. This will most likely boost your views and publicity :) But overall the recipe looks great, the photography looks amazing. Great job!
