Introduction: Trident Loop

Makes a nice lanyard or zipper pull.

This loop knot comes from "The Book of Knots" by Budworth and Dalton.

I eliminated the final half hitch.

Step 1:

Make an overhand knot.

Step 2:

Bring the working end (WE) back to the left to make the loop for your lanyard/pull. Fold WE back to make a bight.

Step 3:

Put the bight through the crossings in the overhand knot.

Step 4:

Bring WE underneath the loop.

Step 5:

Bring WE through the bight.

Step 6:

Tighten.
