Twisted Bananas Foster

Introduction: Twisted Bananas Foster

About: I'm a personal chef, I love to cook and I host a dinner every Friday night where I share the recipes I came up with during the week. I like to think of my kitchen as "The office" people always seem...

Twisted Banana's Foster- A traditional southern dessert with a difference. Keeping true to my southern roots.
Bananas, dark sugar, and coffee poured over coffee ice cream, gives classic ice cream a distinctive and sophisticated flavor, sounds like a coffee lovers dream to me.

Step 1: Ingredients

4 Bananas
3 tablespoon butter
1/3 cup soft dark brown sugar
1/2 cup  fresh strong black coffee
3 tablespoons kahlua
2 scoops coffee ice cream per serving

Step 2: Melt Butter in a Large Frying Pan Over Medium Heat.

Step 3: Peel the Bananas and Cut in Half Length-wise.

Step 4: Add the Bananas and Cook for 3 Minutes Turning Gently Only Once.

Step 5: Sprinkle the Sugar Over the Bananas

Step 6: Slowly Add the Coffee, Continue Cooking and Gently Stirring Occasionally Another 2 to 3 Minutes Until the Bananas Are Tender.

Step 7: Pour the Kahlua in the Pan and Bring Back to a Boil.

Step 8: Remove From Heat and Serve With Two Scoops of Coffee Ice Cream. 4-6 Servings.

This is one of my favorites. Though I use Dark Rum and Banana Liqueur. Then I light the rum on fire, its awesome.
