Intro: Umbrella LED Desk Lamp
Good day friends, in my second instructable, I am explaining about an umbrella desk lamp I have made for my desk, in this case again the parts are almost free and I have used the junks I had on my working desk the only part which may be cost money is LED strips and a switch the rest are junks any way.
This umbrella desk lamp look like an umbrella as far as the opening and closing its branches are concerned and it may be partially opened and partially closed and depends on your working desk but it is pretty and worth trying.
- Wire : 2 × 0.5 2 m
- A round plastic weight : 1 kg
- A 20 mm OD. diameter plastic pipe : 50 cm
- Electrical duct cover 2 cm width : 8 × 35 cm
- Two used CDs
- A CD holder (CD casing)
- Fine Screws and nuts : 8
- Rubber bands : 16
- White LED : 4 × 35 cm
- Yellow LED : 4 × 35 cm
- A switch
- A little bit of electrical tape
- Small drill
- Soldering Iron
It is so easy just make a hole in the lower part of pipe for wire and insert the pipe in to weight, then making the LED assemble separately and attach this two together, in the LED assembly while you attach the electrical duct cover to CD holder you can use pins as hinges for regulating the head assembly.
