Introduction: Using Your Noodle When Packing

About: I am a Halloween freak!! I love everything creepy & spooky about it. My favorite Halloween things are skulls, skeletons, spiders, cobwebs, gargoyles, bats, vampires and creepy dolls.

Packing is one of the worst parts of moving to me. It seems inevitable that something will get broken during a move, especially those odd shaped pieces. Take for instance a beer stein. The beer steins pictured were my father's & my big dilemma was how to protect the handles. All I had to do was use my noodle to come up with the solution.

Step 1: DISCLAIMER

It's sad that we have to say this, but USE THIS METHOD AT YOUR OWN RISK!
This is simply what I decided to do. I do NOT guarantee you will have no broken items during moving by using this method. I will NOT be held liable for any breakage or damage!

Step 2: Items Needed

Pool Noodle
Serrated Knife

Step 3: Measure & Cut

Measure how long of a piece you need to use.
Then use the serrated knife to cut it to length.

*I chose to have mine go from the bottom to the top of the stein to help keep it from moving up & down when I go to wrap it in bubble wrap.

Step 4: Slide Over Handle

Slide the pool noodle over the handle and wrap with the packing material that best suits your needs.
That's all there is to it. It's a cheap & easy solution to add a little extra protection to your boxed items during a move.
When you unpack, DON'T throw them away! There are other uses for pool noodle pieces! From crafts to household hacks and if you use your noodle, you just might come up with another use for them too! ;-)
