Just whip up this cute little Drawstring bag in no time.You can easily make this in less than an hours time.These are super easy and also perfect for beginners. Just fill them up with some goodies .....chocolates....gift cards...tiny hearts...jewellery...or just about anything your loved one will love to have and you are sorted!!!!

This quick and easy drawstring bag can be made to any size you want and best of all, this bag can be used even after the gift has been opened.After all how can anyone go wrong with a cute little bag filled with chocolates....right?????....so get your stuff ready and make this as your last minute valentine gift.

Materials Used:-

  • Eyelash Yarn
  • Crochet Hook
  • Yarn Needle

Step 1:

You can use any yarn of your choice.But If you use eyelash yarn, it would also give a decorative charm to your bag.

Step 2:

Start with a Magic Circle.

Step 3:

6 Single Crochet into the loop.

Step 4:

Pull the yarn end and close the loop. Make sure to pull it tight so that there is no gap left in the middle.

Step 5:

We will be working in continuous rounds. Do not slip stitch , instead continue working in rounds.

2 Single Crochets in each stitch around.(12 stitches at end)

Step 6:

2 Single crochet,1 Single Crochet in the next stitch

Repeat( 2Sc, 1Sc) all around.(18 Stitches at end)

Step 7:

2 Single crochet,1 Single Crochet in the next 2 stitches

Repeat( 2Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc) all around.(24 Stitches at end)

Step 8:

2 Single crochet,1 Single Crochet in the next 3 stitches

Repeat( 2Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc) all around.(30 Stitches at end)

Step 9:

2 Single crochet,1 Single Crochet in the next 4 stitches

Repeat( 2Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc,1 Sc) all around.(36 Stitches at end)

This will be the base of your bag.

Step 10:

My base measures around 7 centimeters.

If you wish to make a bigger size ,then you will just have to continue increasing the stitches till you reach the size you wish to make.

The pattern for increasing will be :-

2 Single crochet,1 Single Crochet in the next 5 stitches

2 Single crochet,1 Single Crochet in the next 6 stitches

2 Single crochet,1 Single Crochet in the next 7 stitches...............and so on!!!!

Step 11:

ow for making the body of the bag, make Double Crochets on each stitch all around.

Slip Stitch to join.

Step 12:

Continue with Double Crochets till you reach the size you wish to make.

Step 13:

To make the loops for the string ,Start with a Double Crochet , Chain 2 Skip a Stitch and Double Crochet next stitch.

Step 14:

Repeat (Double Crochet, Chain 2,Skip a stitch) all around.Slip Stitch to join.

Step 15:

To finish off...make 2 double crochets in the each of the chain 2 space from the previous round.

Step 16:

Overall my bag measures up to 14 centimeters.

Step 17:

To make the string, make chain stitches.

Step 18:

Make two little heart appliques and attach them to the string on both the ends.

But do make sure to first weave the string through the gaps made and then attach the hearts with a yarn needle. I had recently shared a pattern for Small Crochet heart applique. You can get the pattern here.

Step 19:

And your little treat bag is ready!!!

Fill it up with goodies and they are ready to be gifted!!!!

Step 20:

Here is the pattern for your easy reference:-

  1. Start with a Magic Circle. 6 Single Crochet into the loop.
  2. Pull the yarn end and close the loop.
  3. 2 Single Crochets in each stitch around.(12 stitches at end)
  4. ( 2Sc, 1Sc) all around.(18 Stitches at end)
  5. ( 2Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc) all around.(24 Stitches at end)
  6. ( 2Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc) all around.(30 Stitches at end)
  7. ( 2Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc, 1Sc,1 Sc) all around.(36 Stitches at end)
  8. Now for making the body of the bag, make Double Crochets on each stitch all around.Slip Stitch to join.
  9. Continue with Double Crochets till you reach the size you wish to make.
  10. To make the loops for the string ,(Double Crochet, Chain 2,Skip a stitch) all around.Slip Stitch to join.
  11. To finish off...make 2 double crochets in the each of the chain 2 space from the previous round.
  12. To make the string, make 70 chain stitches. Make two little heart appliques and attach them to the string on both the ends.But do make sure to first weave the string through the gaps made and then attach the hearts.
