One of my favorites hobbies it´s to hang around in the Junkyards and see all the Wonders that Humans left.
Well in my Last Trip i saw an old Window and I was wondering what can I did with that.
I almost dont like to buy wood Furniture, That´s not fair with Mother Nature.
I decided to make a Desk that I really need it for my new office.

El ultimo paseo en el deshuesadero de carros fue muy Productivo cuando vi un vidrio Plano, Ideal para construir la Tapa de un escritorio que realmente necesitaba para mi Oficina. Los muebles de madera poco me gustan asi que les enseñare como utilizar materiales que puedes encontrar para un ultimo y Noble fín.

Step 1: Tools and Stuff.

Templated Glass from an old Car window.

Safety first.
Googles./ Gafas
Gloves. Guantes

Tools
Arc Welder./ Soldador de Arco.
Angle Grinder./ Pulidora
Dremel Rotary Tool./ Herramienta Rotatoria Dremel
Jigsaw. /Segueta.
Rounded Files. /Limas redondas.
Bench Vise./ Prensa de banco
Piece of wood. /Trozo de madera.
Strong Rope. /soga fuerte

Materials
6 Pieces of Pipes 1" 1/4 x 80 cms.
4 Pieces of Pipes 1"1/4 x 40 cms.
4 Suction Cup. /Ventosas o copas de Succion.
Krylon Silver Paint/.Pintura Plateada Krylon.

Step 2: Design, Measure , Cut and Weld./ Dise�o, Corte Y Soldadura.

OK...We need to form the Frame of the Desk.
First we take the short Pieces Of Pipes and Grind the shape of the Pipe where are gonna be welded.
Once the Four Pipes are Grinded , with the help of the Sqare, place in 90 degrees , and made two Frames of 80 cms x 46 cms.

En mi taller tengo un monton de Tubos de Pulgada y 1/4 de 80cms, asi es que aproveche esa medida en Particular par construir mi escritorio.
Construi Dos marcos de 80 cms x 46 cms.
Para esto tome los pedazos cortos (40 cms) les treace una muesca que ajustara con los tubos verticales, y los Puli con la Herramienta Rotatoria o Motortool Dremel. Prueba y ajusta con una prensa en C, Finalmente ,hora de Soldar.

Step 3: Where Is Bender...? Y El Doblador?

We dont Need any Bender to give Curved Shape to the Front pipes of the Desk. all we have to do is to find some Piece of Rough Wood, an Strenght Rope and That´s all.

Wrap around the Tube and the piece of Wood, and begin to make the curves, pushing up the Pipe , when you get to the midle of the Pipe, begin with the other edge of the Pipe. Piece of Cake Isn´t...?

No te ha ocurrido que cuando necesitas de alguien simplemente no esta...? Como no tego un doblador a la mano tuve que ingeniarme una forma, antigua y artesanal de doblar los tubos. Tomas un pedazo de madera, lo atas alrededor dejando un espacio para el tubo, y empiezas a ejercer presion hacia arriba, marca cada 3 cms y aplicas la misma presion. Facil no es asi?...
Finalmente soldalos en Angulo recto a los dos Marcos .

Step 4: Assemble & Paint.

Join the two rectangular Frames with the two curved Pipes and weld them together.Grind &
Finnally Paint it.
Una vez armado solo es cuestion de pulir muy bien las esquinas de nuevo con la herramienta Rotatoria Dremel, y Pintar de el color que mas te guste.

Step 5: On Top.

Place the Glass or window on top with the help of the suction cups.

Coloca las cuatro ventosas en la parte superior de los tubos y Adhiere el Vidrio.
En la parte inferior instala soportes de Caucho.

La medidas defieren según el tamaño de el Vidrio.
