Introduction: Warm and Cozy

This soft and cozy fleece pullover was made and sewn by me. It is one of my favorite sewing projects because it is very wearable and goes with everything. I made it during independent sewing classes; everyone was making their own projects and this is what I chose. I was inspired to make this project because of cold weather. I wanted a soft, comfortable item to wear.

Step 1: Measurement and Pattern

First, I chose my fabric. There wasn't enough of the gray fleece that I liked, so I decided to make it two-tone and now I'm really glad I did because I think that makes it unique. I cut out the pattern and then I measured and cut out my fabric. The studio where I made this has a large table where I can lay out all of the fabric.

Step 2: Preparation

It's important to gather your materials before beginning. When you are sewing you have to pick out your thread and make a bobbin of the same color.

Step 3: Sew

I love to sew and I learned a lot with this project. I had never set in long sleeves before. When you sew, make sure that you are following the pattern correctly and don't miss any pieces.

Step 4: Halfway There!

I took a photo without sleeves and collar to document my project. At this point, I wasn't sure if it would turn out with a finished, polished look - but it did!

Step 5: Finished!

The satin ribbon used to tie the collar really gives it a nice finish. I encourage everyone to sew because it is relaxing and enjoyable. Not to mention, this kind of art is wearable and can generate a lot of compliments. :)
