Introduction: Wheat Free, Diet Bread

Hi everybody. I just want to say that I have been on Dukan's Diet for a while and managed to get to my healthy weight. The bread or the pancake Dukan offers to eat daily is quite costly and uses a lot of eggs daily so I came up with my own alternative which is cheaper and could say 'healthier'. I use seeds, oats and oat bran which is full of goodness, high protein and low in carbs. Here is my recipe but you could modify it as you prefer.

Step 1: Ingredients

1 pot of low fat natural yogurt (500g)

Outs

Oat Bran

Seeds (any seeds you like even dried cranberries could be used)

Little bit of oil

Tea spoon of baking soda and some vinegar to dissolve it in. (increase the amount of soda if you use more than 500gm of yogurt).

Salt to taste

Step 2: First Step

Yogurt, soda, vinegar and oil..

Take the yogurt and pour it in a mixing bowl. Take the tea spoon of baking soda and pour vinegar over it so it will turn all fluffy, also add a little bit of oil and mix it all up.

Step 3: Step Two

Take the now empty yogurt pot and divide (by eye measurement) into three quarters.. Fill one quarter with out bran, second quarter with seeds and 3rd quarter with oats. Pour this seed and oat mix into the yogurt and mix it well.

Step 4: Prepare the Baking Tray..

Preheat the oven gas mark 5. Take a baking tray and cover it with a tin foil, pour some oil over it and spread it with your fingers so the whole tray is covered i oil. Pour the mixture on the baking tray and flatten it evenly. Sprinkle some seeds on top (just to make it look nice :-) )

Step 5: Baking..

Bake the bread in a middle of an oven for 45 minutes. Take it out after 45 minutes.. Cool it down for a little bit and then turn it over and start peeling off the foil. Put the bread back in the oven upside down again so the bottom side of it will bake properly as well. I usually take it out (when it finishes to bake) and turn it back right way and divide it into 6 portions to last for 6 days. I keep it refrigerated and put it in a toaster just before eating it.

Hopefully this recipe will be useful to somebody :-)
