Whiskey Pecans are a sweet, salty, spicy, crunchy snack.

Perfect for holiday gifts, as tasty any time snack and make your house smell like the holidays.

What you will need is:
8-16 oz of pecans
1/4 cup of white sugar + 1tbs of sugar
1/4 cup of dark brown sugar
1Tbs of cinnamon
1/4tbs of nutmeg
1/8Tbs of cayenne pepper
1Tbs salt
3Tbs of almond milk
1Tbs of vanilla
1Tbs of honey
1-2Tbs of whiskey

Step 1: Substitutions

I switched out my cinnamon and nutmeg for pumpkin pie spice for that holiday flavor. This also added to the sweet and spiciness of the nuts.

This would work well with walnuts.

I did not use the Tennessee honey whiskey that is pictured, I used Gentleman Jacks. I'm saving the Honey Whiskey for a larger batch.

Step 2: Prep

Preheat the oven to 250.

In two seperate medium to large bowls:

Combined the dry ingredients; white sugar(except the 1tbs), brown sugar, salt, cayenne, cinnamon, nutmeg (or pie spice).

Combine the wet ingredients: almond milk, whiskey, vanilla, honey.

Step 3: Dip and Dredge the Nuts

Dip the nuts in the liquid bowl and move them using a slotted spoon to the dry bowl. Stir to make sure they are thoroughly coated.

Step 4: Spread Out on a Baking Sheet

Spread the nuts out on a baking sheet. And sprinkle with remaining sugar. (You may want to sprinkle the sugar at the end instead.)

Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes stirring every 20 minutes.

Step 5: Cool and Break

Let them cool on the pan.

When they are cool enough to handle, break them up as they will be stuck together.

Step 6: Package

Place them in a mason jar. Presentation is everything.

Give them to your favorite people. Or eat them all in one sitting.
