This Is the easiest whoopee pie recipe there is.
1 box chocolate cake mix, 1 tub cool whip, 1 can of frosting
Step 1: Cake Mix - Bake
Follow the directions on cake box omitting one egg and 1/4 cup of liquid
table spoon thickened batter(spaced out) on parchment lined cookie sheets (appx 16-24 pie hallves)
bake appx 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
allow whoopee pie tops and bottoms to completely cool
Step 2: Filling and Assembly
mix a whole tub of cool whip and half the can frosting together thoroughly
frost whoopee pie bottoms and assemble with tops
wrap individually in plastic wrap and refrigerate, enjoy !!
Step 3: Variation - New Improved Whoopee
OK for this suped up version you'll need a can of blueberry pie filling and a tub of cool whip and a pkg of cream cheese a dab of butter, 1/2 tsp of vanilla and 1/3 cup of powdered sugar in addition to the box mix and ingredients.
make cake mix as step one and and step two
now for the cream cheese vanilla filling
blend butter vanilla cream cheese and suger well then add tub of cool whip mix thoroughly
frost BOTH top and bottom here leaving a pocket in frosting for blueberries
spoon blueberries (minimize the gel if you can) into center assemble whoopee and wrap and refrigerate. Enjoy!!!
