Introduction: Winebox Tags

Hi everybody

This is a project for a college course called creativity where we had to work around cardboard boxes. The holidays have just passed and I noticed at receptions that people kept losing track of their wineglass. This is how I came to the idea of making wineglass tags out of the box itself instead of buying ones.

I'll show you how to make them yourself, but it would be great if boxes in the future have them ready made for you.

Let's get started!

Step 1: Materials

You'll need:

1 cardboard winebox
An X-acto/utility knife
Wineglass
Pen, sharpie...
Cutting board
Optional: Glue, hole punch

Step 2: The Design

You can use the pdf document for basic a tag shape or you can get creative and draw on some ribbons or flowers. Make sure the hole is large enough and far enough from the side.

Step 3: Making and Using the Tags

So now you have your designs, you can glue them on your cardboard or directly draw them on. Cut these out with an X-acto/utility knife, be careful for your table and put a cutting board underneath it. Use a hole punch for cutting out the holes.

Put the tags with a pen near the glasses at your party/reception...
Your guests can take a tag and write their name on them so they'll never be confused who's glass is who's anymore!
