Are you already thinking about your summer garden? I am and thanks to these wooden boards and angular connectors, smarten my backyard has never been so easy!

Here at PlayWood, we were all already excited for the incoming spring time and cannot wait any longer to create new solutions for our backyards!
In the next lines I am going to describe how I built this super useful planter box, by only using common wooden boards and our angular connectors!

Step 1: Why PlayWood?

Thanks to the PlayWood connectors, I could easily create rectangular shapes and link them one another, once again using only connectors 90°.

For the construction, I would recommends wooden boards of a thickness between 16 and 19 mm (3/4" and 7/8") made of OSB. You can easily find these panels in any DIY chain.

Step 2: What Do I Need?

I had these at home and in order to create this DIY project, I choose:

  • 4 boards 40x30 cm - 15,75" x 11,81"
  • 3 boards 80x30 cm - 31,50" x 11,81"
  • 2 boards 80x40 cm - 31,50" x 15,75"
  • 2 boards 60x30 cm - 23,72" x 11,81

To build this planter box, I used 26 PlayWood Connectors 90°.

Once I have created the planter box, where I want to put seeds, waiting for the sun to come and shine; I connected the first furniture with other wooden boards. Now that the planter box is done, I added more panels, in order to create a bench, where I can sit once I am done with all my chore and enjoy the spring breeze.

Step 3: How Do I Build It?

Once I have created the planter box, where I want to put seeds, waiting for the sun to come and shine; I connected the first furniture with other wooden boards. Now that the planter box is done, I added more panels, in order to create a bench, where I can sit once I am done with all my chore and enjoy the spring breeze.

Step 4: What Are You Waiting For?

By adding more and more panels, I realized a sort of peninsula, where I can storage my garden tools and stuff. I am not a keen maker and I built these structure in about 15 minutes; moreover I am incredibly happy, because thanks to these system I had the chance to use recycled materials I can re-assemble any time I need. Thus all the PlayWood suggestions are studied to be easily folded once you don’t need them anymore: for instance, this project can be quickly folded during fall and winter and be re-assembled in spring and summer!
