I'll show you how to make the most strongest weapon even if its made out of simple things.

Step 1: Step 1

Materials
A bag clipper
A lot of popsickle sticks
duct tape
A last one or two rubber bands(depending on size)

Step 2: Step 2

take two popsickle sticks and tape them together. And tape one popsickle stick to the other two you taped together, so there is a over hang.

Step 3: Step 3

If you did things right on the first step this is how it will turn out.

Step 4: Step 4

Do step 1 again and tape the two togeather with the same over hang.

Step 5: Step 5

Now do step 1 one more time so it looks like this.

Step 6: Step 6

Tape two popsickle sticks together as shown.

Step 7: Step 7

Tape the two popsickle sticks to the tip of the long stick you made earlyer.

Step 8: Step 8

Tape two popsickle sticks on each side to add support for the two sticks.

Step 9: Step 9

Take two popsickle sticks and tape them on in a curved way so it looks like the picture.

Step 10: Step 10

At the end of each stick you taped on, cut knoches so the rubber band can hang onto something.

Step 11: Step 11

Take the bag clipper and tape to the other end, this will be the trigger.

Step 12: Step 12

It's time to make the guide for the arrow. Take some popsickle sticks and make three sets of what is shown below.

Step 13: Step 13

Make a box shape guide shown on the bottom picture. This will keep the arrow more straight.

Step 14: Step 14

Tie on the rubber band and make sure it is tight but not to tight or else it will break. It's alomost done.

Step 15: Step 15

Take five popsickle sticks and use three to make the body of the arrow. Take the other two and tape them under for support.

Step 16: Step 16

All you need to do is sharpen one end and cut a knoch in the other end.

If you're shooting horizontally, I agree. But say u feel like shooting suction cups at the ceiling fan, or at a gecko on your ceiling (had that one) then a top may come in handy.

Not really a crossbow you know.. the string shouldn't be elastic. All the elastic potential energy should come from the bow and not the string. think of it as a real bow just held sideways and which has a trigger.

no ovens, but I don't really care for this design. it uses rubber bands, not the potential energy of the popsicle sticks being bent, that would be cooler, and probably more powerful.

By my count you need about 26 sticks to make everything shown.
