Knex Sniper

Introduction: Knex Sniper

This gun is a sniper that i made using most of my ideas. The only thing that i used that isn't mine is the but from gorkems sniper. It shoots about 45 feet with 3 #64 rubberbands.

Step 1: Butt and Stock

In this step, I will be showing you how to make the butt and stock of the gun. The stock uses alot of the purple/gray locking connectors. The butt is from gokems sniper.

Pic 1-3= make
Pic 4= sortof ignore
Pic 5= make 3
Pic 6= make 4 of each
Pic 7-8= how to connect
Pic 9= connect butt to stock

Step 2: Handle

In this step, I will show you how to make the handle. It's pretty simple yet very sturdy. Its 5 "layers" thick. Just make from the pictures.

Pic 1= side view
Pic 2= back
Pic 3= front

Step 3: Mid Body and Trigger

In this step, I will show you how to make the body and the trigger. The body is an idea from gorkems sniper. The trigger is just a few orange pieces connected to a block trigger.

Pic 1= finished product
Pic 2= make 2
Pic 3-4= make
Pic 5= connect
Pic 6-8= make
Pic 9= connect
Pic 10= make
Pic 11-12= connect
Pic 13= checkpoint
Pic 14= make 2
Pic 15= another view of pic 14
Pic 16= make
Pic 17-18= connect
Pic 19= make
Pic 20-22= connect

Step 4: Barrel and Firing Pin

In this step, I will show you how to make the barrel and the firing pin. I made the barrel the way it is because i thought it was cool that Mepain made a barrel that "opens" so i made that but changed the idea a little so that it flips up. The firing pin NEEDS to be a strengthened black rod because if its not then it'll bend.

Pic 1-2= lid closed and opened
Pic 3= back part of barrel
Pic 4= top down view of mid barrel
Pic 5= side view of barrel (The back is to the left and the front is to the right)
Pic 6= front of barrel
Pic 7= barrel without the lid
Pic 8= make
Pic 9-10= lid
Pic 11= add lid to pic 8
Pic 12= add spacer(VERY IMPORTANT)
Pic 13= firing pin
Pic 14= showing the duct taped part(3 blue clips0
Pic 15= end of firing pin
Pic 16-17= adding lid to barrel

Step 5: Barrel Extension and Decorations

In this step, I will show you how to make the barrel extension and the decorations that make it look a little more like a sniper. I kindof stole the barrel extension idea from Mepains sniper but the end of it is entirely mine.

Pic 1= make however long you want
Pic 2= make 2 of each
Pic 3-4= connect
Pic 5-6= finished barrel extension
Pic 7= make 2
Pic 8= close up of the front

Step 6: Putting It All Together

In this step, I will show you how to put the pieces together. Not much else to say.

Pic 1= connect stock and butt to the mid body
Pic 2= where the stock and butt were split from the mid body
Pic 3-4= add handle
Pic 5-8= attach barrel to body
Pic 9-10= how to connect the true trigger to the block trigger
Pic 11= add firing pin
Pic 12= attach barrel extension
Pic 13-14= attach decorations

Step 7: Adding Rubber Bands and Firing

In this step, I will show you where to add the rubber bands and how to fire.

Pic 1= add rubber bands to the firing pin
Pic 2= add rubber bands to the block trigger
Pic 3= pull back the firing pin using the string you attached to it
Pic 4= put the ammo in the barrel and push it up until about the last brownish clip

After you have done picture 4, you close the lid, point the barrel at whatever you want to completely demolish then you pull the trigger!

Actually, with 5+ bands, even the strengthened rod will bend, too far and the black connector snaps off and goes flying instead of the "bullet".
A simple fix is adding a green and black/blue swivel connector to the black one, and changing the bunch of green connectors in the mid body to blue ones, as a "guide" to keep it from bending too far when cocked back. Even still, there is such thing as too many bands XD

for the scope, if u dont have that many Y connectors (46), then you can use spacers or mini blue connectors instead.
