one of our instructors at Techshop brought in some scraps of 3/8" ballistic kevlar for me to play around with!
about a 3"x 50" piece...not really enough to make a vest out of so i decided to make some bulletproof/ fireproof belts!
step1) design it in flow path for the waterjet cutter...well how else are ya supose to cut 3/8" kevlar!?
step2) cut it out!
step3) make some leather fasteners for the buckles.
step 4) use pop rivets to attach em. (i had to use small hex-nuts as washers)
step5) wear it!
