Introduction: Replica Stove and Kids Kitchen

About: I like building things with wood - both new and reclaimed wood. Profesionally I work as an exhibition builder/designer. In my spare time I build stuff with reclaimed wood.

this was a build where we made a replica of an old stove and an kids size kitchen

both were none working (no doors could be opened) but the working ones are now a work in progress and will be posted soon...i hope.

Step 1: Shape and Materials/equipment

the old stove was simply made with the measurments of an old stove I found on the internet. the kids size kitchen was also made with measurments of a real kitchen I build a few years ago. but then divided to make a to the size where kids could play at.

the old stove is completely made out of mdf except the iron bar which I welded 2 parts onto. It's basically an mdf box with extra pieces of mdf glued on to create the depth as if it was an actual stove.

the kids size kitchen is the same way of working except the top is rubberwood tabletop.

equipment (kapex, plunge saw, router, orbital sander)

Step 2: Primer and Finishing

next step was to sand everthing to a smooth finish and primering the cut sides of the mdf. then it is on to painting the whole thing to the finish you want.

enjoy.
