egg shells are a natural ant repelent,and will repel them from your plants to keep thhem from eating them.

after making an egg save the egg shells and rinse them off,crumble them and put them around the stem of your plants.

    I put egg shells (crunched up) into our compost bin.

    Ants live in our compost bin. It's like high-rise apartments to them.

    Ummm ... maybe the ants don't know it's supposed to be a repellant :)
