About: im a really nice kid that is pretty talented at drawing, building stuff and taking cars apart and putting them back together
what you need to make a book light is one LED ,2 aa batteries , some sticky tape and a small clamp.
Step 1: Making the Book Light
fist you stick the battery on then you stick the two wires on both ends of the battery.then you stick on the LED at the front of the clamp. now you stick the two ends of the wire to the two ends of theLED.now it should light up if it dosen't try using AAA bateries .

Is there a reason you chose a red LED rather than a white LED or a yellow LED? This is a good inexpensive way to make a book light for a reasonable price. There are LED calculators on the Internet that can help avoid feeding too much current to the LED and blowing it, but you should be fine with only 1.5 volts. If there is any doubt, the ammeter setting on an electrical meter could be used to check actual current flow.
