Ok I've got an idea of a aarcade like gun that could be used for your everyday PC \lappy. I was thinkin that people could probably use the arcade gun for a mouse. Instead of using it just for game etc it could used to play FPS game and even for FPS creator so instead of using your mouse it could be as if you were the character and the one who is aiming!!! I even noticed that the newer or older? guns with a slide would be cooler.

Sorry for the bad quality, but I thought this looked strange...This is an arrow flying through a piece of plywood.It was captured using a digital camera filming at 30 fps, I used windows movie maker to slow down the video to 12,5% of the normal speed.Can you spot the arrow on this blurry video? I have the skill to be able to make 3d models and scenes, create a storyline and do texturing, but what is a easy / free / cheap method to make a decent game? i was thinking about a first person shooter type game, but all of the FPS game makers out there that i have tried didn't give me enough freedom to make it the way i wanted to. i have listed the ones i have tried and the reasons i didn't like them: -Sauerbraten-Too hardware reliant, runs very slow on a good pc-cant import my own models -Silent Walk-bad method of level creation, can only make 'rough' looking levels -Retribution Engine-Wont run on newer pcs (maybe just needs a nvidia card not ati?) -3drad- need to pay to use it, doesn't exactly run nicely, and importing new enviroments is a pain -Fps creator free-very buggy, doesn't run on many computers so what is a good way to make a 3d game? I recently bought a UHC super 9 pro airsoft gun. The problem is that .2 gram bbs curve dramatically (a very steep curve) up after about 75 feet or so. The hopup is off, and if the hopup is on, the problem is worse. Will .25 gram bbs make much of a difference, or should I use .30 grams or higher? Note: the fps with .2 gram bbs is about 410. I am hoping the airsoft community at Instructables is willing to help me. Thanks.

I have a cheap jt paintball mask that came in a kit with a cheap pump gun I got a while ago. The mask is just short of 1/8" thick and made of bendable plastic. It offers protection from paintballs at 200fps but I am not sure about higher velocity guns. It can only protect against up to 300 fps. So could I use it for battles with semi auto guns like viewloaders, tipman 98s and so on (beginner/intermediate guns)? or will I have to purchase a new one. Note: I have long since lost the manual for it.

So most of my games have been laggy for a week now and they werent before. I did a virus scan, malware, almost everything I could find. Call of duty black ops was running fine then it went and stayed below 10 FPS, CoD Black Ops 2 lags and it didn't it stayed below 40. This is a fairly new computer, it is an Alien ware with a Core I5, Nvidia geforece 650M, 6GB ram. I could run these games on fair settings then it just got unplay able. I dont have avg, and I run these games from steam. Thanks

I'm looking a decent Airsoft AEG Rifle for no more than $50. I know that $50 is a very low budget, but I only want this for small games with a couple friends in backyards/woods. Low FPS is fine. Only real requirement (besides it being an AEG rifle) is that it doesn't fall apart right as I get it. The only thing I've been able to find is a Crosman Pulse R71/R73, and both seem to have poor build quality, therefore a little over priced. Thanks a bunch!

This is a knex video camera holder I threw together in like 5 minutes. The original one failed and also used too many parts. This camera can be either used with a quad pod, or be mounted on most 5 layer thick knex guns with addons. The camera is easy to put in and take out, but when its in, you can't make it fall out. Surprisingly, it's very sturdy, and can be used as an FPS view in a knex war and an alternate scope. I was gonna add yellow rods into the midsection like I did with the sides, but I ran out of red connectors, so I couldn't. Just pretend they are there.

Hi. I'm fan of videogames and from long time I want to create my oun. I'm not pro in anithyng, so I'd like to make a team to try to create an FPS/Sandbox game. I can speak English,French and Italian. I'll need basically a coder, how knows Java or other important coding languages, a 3D modeler, a 3D animator (or only one for bolth), and if it's possible someone how knows how to make all the sounds. Hi guys! This is my new pistol concept! Its mechanism is actually pretty simple, and I have tried it once, and it actually works! Let me explain how it works: As the bullets (in this case white rods) are pushed up the guide (see picture below, it is named "bottom of loading") they are shoved up against the trigger. When you pull back the FP (Firing Pin), and it locks into position, this pushes the trigger up, pulling the first bullet go up into the chamber. When you pull the trigger, the bullet is shot out the barrel, and the next round is ready to go into the chamber. Repeat until your out of rounds. I've been wanting to make my own game for quite a while, but I have limited programming skills and mediocre 3D modeling talent (but I'm getting better :)). So I was wondering if anyone knows of a good game engine that is fairly modern (i.e. bloom, HDR, physics, etc.) but is easy to use, so I don't have to dig in to too much code. I'm taking a C++ class at the moment but I expect it to be a while before I'm proficient enough to code games. I've considered modding a Source game, any pros/cons I should be aware of? Other than that I've tried FPS Creator X10 (a little too far on this side of easy) and Sauerbraten (Sauerbraten I like, but unfortunately it's not for standalone games). Also, preferably the engine would be free, I'm not made of money. Thanks in advance.

Updated pictures. I tried an 8 turret afterwards and it was too heavy and big, so I stuck with a 4 turret, which keeps it light. My picture quality is crap, I hope to get my hands on a camera that actually works soon, but here it is. 1. A picture of the whole thing. Things that have changed: - 4 Turret has been added. - Iron sights have been added. - Charging handle has been added. - Handle has been improved. - Fore-handle has been replaced with a grip. 2. A picture without the stock. 3. Looking down my original (and very effective) sights. 4. The gun at an angle. Notice the charging handle sticking out and the size of the grip. 5. FPS shot. Not much to say here. This is ighly improved, I hope to be able to make detachable clips soon.

Hey yeah I could have probably put this in a better category but about the only people I care about adding are people from the K'nex section. So is anyone getting Modern Warfare Reflex? I gotta send my wii in for repair which kind of sucks seeing how I know I won't get it back until way after Reflex comes out (though I'll probably be hanging out at my friend's and sister's playing MW2 on their Xboxes) so don't expect an FC anytime soon. I did awesome in WaW. My starting account had about a 1.4 K/D and I never played an online FPS for wii before. My main account after that has a 2.23 and rising. I haven't used it much since starting to snipe and shotgun. My sniping account has an even 2.0 I think last time I checked. I started a shotgunning account right before my wii broke but I don't remember my K/D. I know it was at least over 1.5 and maybe over 2.0. And then I made another account for lolz to see how high I could get my K/D and had somewhere in the 7.0 range. So yeah point is it would be beneficial to add me =P

Hey! So I started renovating my living room and it's going much faster than i anticipated. I also upped the scope to move the TV and media items, and to do the professional job of wall jacks for everything so cables are hidden. I'm in a wall and nearly ready to do new drywall, so I need help planning this part I hadn't anticipated! Requirements: -Have media center placed in the corner, about 50' (as cable runs) away -potentially 4 HDMI items 4K ability for xbox, ps (50-60 fps) digital audio for surround sound that will be wired (I'm an audiophile, so I'd prefer optical to do it the best) other things I haven't thought of that will help keep the hard wiring relevant for the next 5-10 years I can: Run conduit for easier/future cable routing place wall jacks as needed behind the tv and in the media corner Like I said I didn't anticipate doing this at the same time, so I don't have a plan and need help. I wish I had time to search and learn the ins and outs, but what I've seen are HDMI splitters, signal degradation, wireless transmitters that only do 1080p, and fiber optic cable that is expensive. Does anyone have experience with this, or have a referral that I could post this on a different forum? Thank you in advance!!!

Hey guys! Well, I was at a loss as to what to build on Tuesday, so i decided to build Senior Waffleman's Scar-L. I decided this for multiple reasons, among which, the gun just looks flippin' awesome! Well, I finished it Thursday (I did not have much time to build between when I began and Thursday) and I began to work with it, shooting it, editing it and so fourth. Well, the gun is horrible when it comes to shooting, and I'll tell you why. What you see in the paint image below is basically what the internals of the front of the gun look like, and you may see the problem. The mag I made was different than his, and was more realistic, but as the bullets go up the barrel, they stop as they hit the top of the barrel. When the FP hits the bullets (his shooting mech is freaking brilliant, and works well) The bullets either: 1) Don't leave the barrel, or 2) Leave the barrel at a speed of 60 meters-per-year. Everything works well, except for the fact that the bullets don't leave the barrel half the time. Tell me what you all think...? Keep in mind, I've tried lots of different ways to fix this. I tried: making the barrel taller, making the bullet heavier, hitting the bullets harder by adding more rubber-band power, and even making a breach-loading mech to at least make the gun shoot. Help!

Ok so heres my situation. About 6 months ago I made my own pneumatic airlift sniper but even though I could get about 80 lbs of pressure stored up before I pulled my trigger my sniper only shot as far as my 300 fps gun. My question is why cuz I had a lot more force in my pneumatic sniper then my other gun and it doesn't seem to matter. My sniper was made of a metal nipple about 9 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. I then put a cap on one end and a reducing coupler on the other. I drilled a hole in the cap and inserted a valve that allowed me to attach the chamber to a bike pump. On the end with the reducer I then added a ball valve that worked as my trigger. After the ball valve was another reducing coupler that brought the size down from an inch to 1/2 an inch. Into this coupler I screwed a break line about 50 cm long(sorry about the unit change I don't remeber its length in inches) and it fit the bb very nicely. I also added a little contraption I made from paper clips that allowed the gun to be tired downward without the bb falling out. However I don't believe this was the problem as I fired the gun when their was just a wire across the back of my breakline ,to keep the bb from falling into the gun ,and the distance seemed the same. I made sure every connection before the ball valve was sealed well except that the gun did leak at a rate of 20 lbs for minute because of a bad connection with the valve that connected with the bike pump. If you need more info just say so in the comments but I don't have the gun with me right now so all i have to go off of is my memory. Thanks for your help I really appreciate it. : )

When writing, it sometimes helps to build a diorama of a setting. You can then place characters and examine key points from different perspectives. You can even act out the entire scene. Yes, it sounds like playing with dolls, and it certainly is... but it is a huge help to visualize an event so that you can really describe it in your writing. The problem is, a diorama can be time-consuming and sometimes even expensive to set up... and I certainly don't have much space in my home for one. What I need is a virtual diorama. For the current project, I wish for a house with several rooms, a back yard, a small section of street, and a small piece of forested wilderness(all can be separate)... so I need a program that's fairly flexible. First thought was to set up a local OpenSim server, but I ran into a lot of difficulty getting it running and getting content (i.e. props and houses) is a nightmare. Worse, bugs and quirks made it difficult to use in practice. After two weeks of setting up a virtual environment, I crashed the server during a backup and corrupted the whole installation. So OpenSim is not suitable for me. I tried Second Life too, because I figured I'd rent a small piece of land and build on it. Second Life has the advantage of having a lot of content available, but getting a chunk of land big enough to do what I need is too expensive for me, and all the areas I checked out were too laggy. Other things I tried or examined were FPS video games (with map editors) and the Sims... both presented their own problems. I'm open to suggestions on either. Anyway, this is long-winded enough so I'm going to get right to requirements. Here's what I need: -3d simulation with an easily configurable environment. -Simple to use. Need "duh duh" simple" -No distractions. -Little loading or lag time. -A reasonably good selection of objects and props such as houses, furniture, streetlights, asphalt and plants. -The ability to place characters where I want them. Here's what isn't necessary: -Characters don't have to have any animation and can be as simple as cardboard cutouts. -Doesn't have to be free. -Doesn't have to be specific to any OS or hardware.

Sharir1701's M17S is truly a pretty gun. Even my mom said so, but it does have its draw backs. In this review, I am going to do my best to give you the pros and cons of this gun, so that you can decide weather to build it or not. Now, the gun might be somewhat outdated, but it is pretty cool all the same. First off, let us talk about the cons, as those will really be the things you will really want to see. Cons: Looks: He stated in the 'ible of his M17S that "this is my bushmaster m17s replica thats like 95% perfect as a replica..." but I quite disagree. The barrel area is not quite accurate. His is too thick, the barrel is WAY two small (though, I admit, with his setup it would be pretty hard to edit that), his trigger guard is not quite curved enough, and the handle is curved way to far. The carrying handle is not high enough, and the attachment bar is too block like. The butt-stock area is horrid. it is not flat on top, it is WAY too big, and it does not have the right types of curves. Mechanism: The mechanism does not always block the FP, and the safety does not always work. The mag lock is also a waste, as the mag stays in fine with out it. Piece Consumption: This gun is VERY piece consuming, and took up almost all of my orange connecters, green rods, and dark grey connecters (even with my attempts at piece saving). This is not really a disadvantage to the gun its self, but just keep that in mind. I am sure there are MANY ways to fix this as a problem. Now to the pros. Pros: Looks: Looks good over all, but again, not very accurate. Comfy, and yet sturdy, this gun is not at all a wast of time! Mechanism: The mechanism on this gun is FANTASTIC. I love the way it works, and the mech is quite effective (minus the disadvantage above). All of the mechs are easy, work great, and are VERY "smartly" done. Effective overall. Range: Fantastic! With a couple rubber bands you have your self an effective gun! Overall: This gun is so much fun to build and to mess around with. It's big, sturdy, has great range, has great mechs, and is just awesome overall. I would love to see this gun's mechs thrown into a concept gun/fake gun. Hope this helps you out. Knex Gun Ideas Hello fellow Knexers, I have some ideas and concepts that I have been thinking about and I would like to share them with you all. Please give me credit if you use any of these ideas of mine. Also please send me pictures if you are able to create any of these ideas so that we can all help to advance the Knex community. I know that some of you may have thought of ideas kind of like this, so please don't get all bent out of shape that I stole one of your ideas. And please give me your feedback and and ideas in the comments below. 1 Horizontal Knex Oodammo mag This is an idea that I came up with the other day ago, it could either be on the top or the bottom of the gun. First there would be a rail that holds the ammo on top and pushes it down a ramp and then it falls in front of the FP and is shot out. This may have an advantage because then you don't have a large mag sticking out of the bottom of your gun. 2 Oodammo bull-pup I do not see a big advantage to this but maybe some one would like to try this, Has any one tried this before? 3 Rotating hammer action There would be 4 hammers attached to a cog and the hammers would spin around in a circular motion and hit a new piece of ammo each time they spin around. I don't think that you could get that much power with this, but maybe it could be attached to a motor or it could be wound up and released by the trigger. 4 Knex magazine idea I was watching some YouTube videos about Nerf guns and there was this one that I saw, is there a way to make something like this out of Knex? To load the gun you slide back the pullback and load ammo though the top into the magazine, this is not a top loading mag but you feed the ammo into the mag from the top and it is pushed up when you slide the pullback back over the top of the gun. ***THIS IS NOT A PRIMARY WEAPON, BUT A SECONDARY. I am tired of people nagging me about it, it's a k'nex gun that shoots as far as any other powerful pistol, but the main thing I'm emphasizing here is QUICK RELOAD and RELIABILITY (no jams, mag pushers, or anything to get between you and your challenger). It's just a handgun that I slapped a stock on to look cool, so you can stop telling me that some kid's sniper is better or deconstruction round guns are things of the past because that's just your excuse to put me down. I'm not complaining, I'm just stating the obvious. 1. The whole gun, stock, clip, mech, and all. 2. This is with the clip on. 3. This is what it looks like when you take the clip off. 4. This is what it looks like when you hold it... The handle looks like crap compared to the TDS but actually is very comfy, as the white rods stick out around your fingers. 7. A newer white connector will not shoot as far as an older one since the older one will release the white rod easier. That being said, mine shoots about 20-30 feet with a single #64 rubber band at a slight upwards angle with an old connector. Not bad! Sadly, it does not auto-revolve, but there are no clumsy mag pushers poking at you, and while it takes longer to cock and shoot, the reload time is VERY fast, you disconnect a connector and connect a new one, so if you're fast I'd say 1-2 seconds. Also, if the annotations get in your way just click the white "i" at the top-left. EDIT: New double-cylinder. Slightly slower than reloading regular single-cylinders, but easier to carry around. 7. A picture of the gun with the double-cylinder. 8. The new clip, by itself. New Round: Mag Capacity: 16 Rounds Mag Reload Time: 2.7 seconds Yes, I know this design is relatively old. Yes, I know other people have done this. This is the first to feature a design specifically for detachable clips. This may not seem like much, but it reloads extremely fast, and with the double-cylinder design, can outlast any pistol in a firefight. Why? Well, for one, as opposed to loading in each bullet individually (if you use post-it notes they can clog up your gun no matter how you put them in), this comes in packs of eight and sixteen. Also, there are no rubber bands for the clips, so no jamming, no mag pushers, and no friction from the bullets. If you rush and slip up with a "regular" gun, you potentially have a broken clip, or bullets everywhere, or a jam. With this, the only punishment is a longer reload time. Also, while conventional knex gun clips have a lot of pieces, a single-cylinder clip has MORE ammo pieces than non-ammo pieces, and the double-cylinder clip has very few pieces as well. This means you can have more clips built, and the number of bullets you can hold expands exponentially! So again, while this couldn't fight soley against the SwagBoss, or the Knexsayer, or big knex guns, I would put my money on this above any other sidearm due to its reliability and the fact that its reload time is super short.
