Merry Knexmas!

Merry Knexmas! From Hiyadudez! It's almost here, Christmas, one of the happiest times of the year. Lets start of by singing a song, made by Logic boy :-) Rudolph, the red-turreted knexsayer had a very shiny turret.  And if you ever saw it,  you would even say it was awsome.  All of the other knex guns  used to laugh and call it names.  They never let poor Rudolph  join in any knex wars.  Then one foggy Christmas Eve  Mepain came to say:  "Rudolph with your Turret so bright,  won't you be my primary tonight?"  Then all the knex guns loved him  as they shot out with glee,  Rudolph the red-turreted knexsayer,  you'll go down in history!     Well, that was completely random... but I bet you are singing it in your head right at this very moment though! Hehe :-) Anyway, I only made this because I was bored, cya!

Merry ... uh....

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practi[c|s]ed within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the western Hemisphere . Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, col[o|ou]r, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

Merry (early) christmas!

Hey all, I decided that since so many people were wanting to see my new gun, I'd post it early. Besides, there are so many christmas guns because people were following the trend, that mine would be overlooked. So, take a look, tell me what you think. www.instructables.com/id/TJASTR2-1/ (PS I know this is a bit spammish, but since my last instructable wasn't posted for 4 days, I'm thinking that this might not even come out for christmas.)

Merry Christmas! (plus sneak peek at recent project)

Hey guys! Before i say anything else, Merry Christmas! I know I've been quiet, but that's because I've been working on something big. I have a good idea of when it will come out(about jan 3). And here's a tip for you guys. When things get quiet, things start to get crazy(crazy for me anyway lol). If I'm gonna finish this, I'm going to need a little more knex. I think that I am going to make a mag fed rifle that shoots green rods. Pics are handle. Third pic is handle attached to something.

I'm bunking off!

Goodbye, peeps! Plans have changed slightly for Christmas, so I probably won't be near a broadband connection very often, if at all, until the New Year, just in time for my second anniversary as an Instructableer. In the mean time, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, enjoy the Solstice and the New Year and any other holidays I've missed.

Yin or Yang? Which is going to be the easiest transition for my Dauschund, Millie?

I have a miniature Dauschund hound, Miss Millie, who is 3 years old. This is only my second ever dog, so bare with me please. Like any other wiener dog, she has personality up the wahzoo. Never have I nor my husband ever heard such a vocal canine. she's got spunk! But then I digress, sorry about that. Anywhoos, we run our business here at our house, actually out in the garage and basement. Millie will have nothing to do with either structure /room, so she ends up sleeping a lot inside the house. The last thing we want is for her health or well being to suffer, so alas....my question : When bringing another dog around an established territory of another (especially a Dauschund! Lol) Will the relationship develop better with a female pup or should we become looking for a stud puppy? Any help would be appreciated. My husband wants another girl, but I think it will make things harder for everyone involved. Please just confirm my answer, LOL, and I can be on my merry way. But seriously ,HELP!!

How much would you sacrifice...

...to do what's right? ...Would you walk everywhere to boycott an unfair bus system? (let's assume we all ride the bus) ...Would you take on the position of leading a movement for democracy in a country that you could could easily be assassinated in for doing it? ...Would you give up everything to fight for what is right? People who have answered yes to questions like these have gotten the modern world to where we are today. People who have answered yes to questions like these are improving the undeveloped world. Would you? If the occasion came that you were best fit to take on a position like Martin Luther King Jr. did, would you accept? I like to think that I would - I hope that I would. --ChaosCampbell put it well: "so... simply put, you are asking; would you stand up for yourself. eve at the sacrifice of your life. I think our world as we know it shows the majority answer of... yesthe question that would bring a majority ... no answer, even if we cannot admit it to ourselves would be; would you be willing to sacrifice everything to resolve an injustice committed against a fellow man, if your sacrifice would bring a group further at the detriment of your own existence. meaning doing nothing would allow you to live a merry life, or sacrificing would allow a larger group to have a better life at your expense"

Hommade quad tape deck

I love quad as an audio format. I've been recording in quad a lot recently on my tape multitracker. It uses regular cassette tape, and the regular track widths, but uses all four at once instead of two each way. Trouble is, it only has stereo mixdown, and it records at twice speed, so I would need to modify any potential quad tape deck that I build to play at twice normal speed. I've figured out a way to use a 4-part RCA signal, if ran to two stereo amps, to get quad sound to my speakers. Therefore, I would need to modify my homebrew quad tape deck to have 4-part RCA out. I'm still a little fuzzy on the particulars of that. In order to read all four tracks, I'm considering just taking two stereo heads and putting them next to each other, but due to width constraints, that would probably mean being unable to sync their output, let alone record anything. I suppose I could yank the quad head out of a junk Tascam, but good luck finding a junk Tascam! Any ideas on solving this issue? Perhaps work in an output lag somehow on the forward head's output so that they are synced again? One idea that I have, if I can get the outputs synced, is to just pull the head out of one tape deck and make the wires long enough that I can install it in the other deck, still attached to its own electronics, though. Then there would be four RCA jacks out (two from eah machine) and it would require the minimum amount of hacking things up. Then I'd connect the two cases in to uber case (duct tape, porbably), and go on my merry four-channel way. Anyway, is anybody else a fan of this format, and have you thought about making a quad tape deck? If someone has ever ripped up analog tape decks (or knows the nitty-girtty of how they work), please don't hesitate to give some input to this project!
