Zip Review

Alright, so I just made JonnyBGood's Zip Mk1 today, and decided to do a review on it. I recommend that before you make this gun, please read my review as some of your questions may be answered. So without further adieu, let's start. @Range- Not Bad, but cannot be termed as good. It is VERY inconsistent as well. The range that I got with one rubberband on this gun was  5-20 feet. It is quite good for its size though. 6/10 @Looks- The looks of this gun is awesome. It looks really 'sci-fi'ish. 9/10 @Durability- Really strong and well built, does not break easily. Point to be noted that the handle-stock(ish) connection is flimsy, needs some work, but I can live with it. 9/10 @Pieces- The piece count of this gun is a bit too high for its size. And not to mention the 3 broken rods. 8/10 @Comfort- This gun is very comfortable to hold and will not hurt your hand. 10/10 @Rate of Fire- Well, a 3-4 shot gun can not have a true ROF but if the hopper was extended, it would have a helluva ROF. No marks as stated above. @Functioning- Almost perfect functioning, but I guess the blocking mechanism fails sometimes, but rarely. 9/10 The Verdict- 51/60 (pretty solid) It is a well built gun that could use some polishing but in the end, it could be one of the BEST secondary gun there is or even a nice primary. The gun overall is cool and I would suggest you to build it! Also check out JonnyBGood's page and his other stuff! Note- These are my views of the gun and if you think that I am wrong at some point, comment or PM me! Hope you enjoyed the review!

LOSA Pistol Review

So someone asked me to make a review about Lowney's "LOSA" pistol and here it is. -Comfort 7/10 sometimes the ram nips your hand -Range 8/10(I only got 48ft angled with 2 64's) -Power 6/10, I shot my hand and it really didn't hurt at all -Accuracy 8/10 the gun is pretty accurate -Reliability 4/10 as long as you use a good strong band on the trigger, your good -Body Weight/Balance It's kinda heavy for a pistol -Magazine 4/10 I shot the gun and the mag wall closest to the trigger broke a few times So overall I'd give it a 6/10 and would not recommend it to anyone.

Knex MP5K review.

this is shadowninja31s MP5K review. comfort:6/10 - its quite uncomfortable at the back of the handle, but the grip is fine. power: 8/10 - for close range, its got alot of power. looks: 10/10 - probably one of the best replicas ive seen. innovation: 8/10 - nothing new, its got removable magazines and other features. accuracy: 9/10 - its very accurate at close range. piece usage: 8/10 - not to much pieces. strenght: 9/10 - very sturdy, the magazine is the only weak point if dropped or hit. reliability: 9/10 - nearly every time the bullet leaves the barrel, if you use a tight rubber band on the magazine pusher all the shots will leave the barrel. also, if the band is too tight on the trigger the rod may snap off every like 100 shots, just replace it. overall: 67/80 - if you want a great replica with power, make this! link: https://www.instructables.com/id/MP5K/

Freekiller Crossbow Review

Well, i wanted to do a review, so i did this! Let's go right into the review!!! Piece use- This thing uses so many pieces! And it's really small too! But the high piece count does make it a lot stronger. I give it a 6/10 in this category Strength- This gun is really strong! You can drop it, and it most likely won't break; But there are a few weak points. I give it a 9/10 in this category ROF- this thing has a good rate of fire if you have small bands, but if you are going for power with big bands, you have to load just one bullet in at a time. I give it a 7/10 in this category Power- well, it's a slingshot, that shoots gray connectors, so it's gotta be powerful! I give it a 9/10 in this category Accuracy- This thing is not the most accurate gun ever, but if you are using rapid fire, it doesn't matter about accuracy! I give it an 8/10 in this category  Mag- the mag (which i have never seen before) holds those grey connectors perfectly, but it is a weak point in the gun. I give it an 8/10 Comfort- This handle is comfy! The pull-back thing is also really comfy! I give it a 10/10! Size- This thing is small! You can fit this powerful little gun in any back pack, perfect for hiding it! I give it a 9/10 in this category Pull-backer- What else do i call it? Well, it is really comfy, and it makes pulling back bands super duper easy! I have three strings of two #64's on it and it's just simple to pull back! I give it a 10/10! Looks- This thing looks deadly! The super filled in bow, the awesome looking handles, everything! I give it a 9/10 (it's missing a little something...) Elastics- This thing holds as many elastics as any old ratchet, making it powerful! I give it a 9/10! Bow- the bow is really strong, and it looks super deadly, but for bigger elastics, the small wheel just isn't very good... I give it an 8/10 Sound- this thing sounds sweet when shooting, but if you are trying to be quiet, this isn't the gun, unless you use one of those things that i have on the ratchet of my ASCB, sooo. I give it a 7/10 Big review, eh? well this gun gets.... An 8.5!!!! Great gun from Knexfreek and Killer~Safecracker! Go subscribe to them!!! Images coming soon!

Not a rectangle review+mods

This is a review of oodalumps's "not a rectangle" with bakenbitz's stock.  One hasn't been done yet so I will do one now. Body: Stock: 9/10 Bakenbitz's stock is strong, but the individual walls are still somewhat flimsy.  Nothing blue rods can't remedy though. Handle: 8/10 Comfortable and sturdy but the trigger guard kinda takes away from it in my opinion. Barrel: 8/10 Innovative and sturdy, but extremely hard to build.  My hands didn't hurt too bad though. looks: 8/10. Looks simple, but still looks great IMO Performance: Range: 10/10 160 feet flat with 6 #64's. Power: 10/10 There's a few boxes that no knex gun has shot through before, this gun shot all the way through.  There was even a box with another box behind it, it shot all the way through BOTH of them, fins and everything Accuracy: 10/10 I made a custom ironsight for it (very accurate) and my friend shot clean through the center of a cheez-it from 20 feet.  I'm serious, straight through the tiny black hole in the middle. ROF: 5/10.  It's a single-shot, so you have to manually reload it.  Also the fact that you have to pull back a bunch of bands at once for the best reload times slows you down somewhat. Innovation: 9/10 The concept of a balljoint at the front taking the impact of the pin instead of the back of the gun is a great concept, but I hate that that's all there is to it. Final word: I was very impressed with the performance of the gun.  It's the most powerful gun I have ever built.  I recommend it to anyone looking for a single shot. Final score: 9/10 Mods: Custom ironsight (mine) Trigger guard mod

UMP 45 review

Cheers to TheDunkis for posting this amazing UMP 45. Here is mine, in (almost) all mettalic pieces. I did change some things on the gun, all for different reasons. Change #1 - Bottom rail. Only so the foregrip could be stronger. #2 - Front sight. I do not have any mini pieces like TheDunkis. #3 - I used CuddesMcT's magazine with an internal mag pusher. #4 - Trigger guard. TheDunkis's trigger guard was very wobbly so i made my own with a bendy blue rod and a broken green connector. #5 - Rear sight. Once again, I do not have any mini K'nex pieces. #6 - Ramrod. I found the ramrod hard to pull back and tough to get to so i swapped it with one of my own. Notice that I also removed the top of the stock, for the same reason. I added multiple yellow connectors to where the ramrod ends, which are only neccesary for use with my ramrod. #7 - Handle. The handle was wobbly, which TheDunkis does state in his instructable, so I rigged it so that the handle connects to the stock. Overall, this is a wonderful gun which is very realistic, except for the full stock which is not true to the UMP 45. I am not going to say specific stats, but the range was good, power okay, and accuracy good. Click here for the link to his instructable.

Oodassault-Pistol Review

Here is my take on the Oodassault-Pistol By TheDunkis.Link: https://www.instructables.com/id/Oodassault-Pistol/Before I start, I'd like to highly recommend it.Trigger:Strong,Realistic, and reliable. Also has a safety, and is very innovative.Mag:Small, but it is very reliable. Note that it is slow to reload. Is also very new.Handle:Not much to say, but it feels good, and is very sturdy.Barrel:It looks iffy, but it is really good. The bullets fly extremely straight, and are pretty powerful.Overall:Innovation: 10/10 Almost all of this gun is 100% TD.Accuracy 10/10 I can hit a small target from 20 feet using the sights. Trigger: 9/10 Feels great, and is very reliable.Strength: 8/10 Like most 3-layer pistols, it could be broken quite easily.Range: 8/10 It shoots quite far, and maintains it's accuracy.Comfort 8/10 Trigger feels very good, and so does the handle.Reload: 8/10 The mag is slow to reload, but it is VERY reliable. Mod room: 8/10 This gun could have many mods for various reasons. It is built so you can easily change things like: Change ammo type (?)Add longer barrel, stock...etc.....Looks 7/10 It's not very realistic, but it looks cool.Raw Power: 7/10 Oodammo tends to be not very damaging, but it more than makes up for that with it's accuracy.83/1008/104*I love this gun. Love it.But the mag is too small and slow to reload. This makes a great sidearm, but just don't plan on reloading this while running away from the enemy.Link: https://www.instructables.com/id/Oodassault-Pistol/ It would make a good gun to make two of then have a mini war

Well,he wanted me to make a review,so here it is!: piece usage: it use not realy a much, but i use 3(or 2) broken piece.i give it a 8/10! ROF:pump action guns have always a high ROF,but if you use 64 or thicker elastic then the elastics cant go under the bullet.I give it a 7/10 power: its not powerfull, that says knexfreek self. i give it a 6/10 comfort:the handle is realy comfort, and the pump too! i give it a 9/10 strenght:its realy strong, but it have some weak points. i give it a 8/10 Mag: i never seing this mag before, but it use one broken piece, and its one of the weak points of the gun. i give it a 7/10 elastics:you can only use 1 string of 64 size elastics, but you can add a much of 32 elactics! i give it a 8/10 reliability:its very reliably, but a rachet is always reliably. i give it a 9/10! size: super small for a pump action,i think its 4 times smaller then the knexsayer.... i give it a 10/10! range:i get great range with it! i get 40 feet with only 1 string of 32! i give it a 10/10 looks: not realy cool looking, but i like the looks. i give it a 8/10 innovation:this thing is realy realy innovation! i give it a 9/10 accuracy:not the best accuracy for a gun.but its a oke accuracy.i give it a 7/10 capacity: the mag can only hold 4-6 shots, but you can make a bigger mag. i give it a 6/10 i hope you like my review, and if you build it and like it ,THEN YOU NEED TO SUBSCRIE HIM. Oodassault Pistol Review

This is a review of TD's newest pistol on Ibles, the Oodassault Pistol.Review requested by TD.Range: 7/1025-30 feet with 2 64's. Could be better, but not very bad for a pistol.Looks: 9/10Bleh. I don't look for how a gun looks, just reliability and power. But I'd say it looks pretty good. Strength(in terms of holding together) and Comfort: 7/10The back of the pistol exploded once for me. I wouldn't recommend putting too many rubberbands, the back may explode if you do.Also, the thicker part or the handle (middle layer) was pretty flimsy for me, and broke pretty often. After replacing the blue clip with a tan clip, it stayed in place and never broke off. No biggie.Other than that, very sturdy.Handle's very comfy, no rods sticking out anywhere.Reliability: 10/10Not once has this pistol jammed, or the trigger system failed. Power: 8/10Not too bad. Dents my super-special awesome cardboard (with extra reinforcement) a bit from a good 5-10 feet away.Accuracy: 9/10This uses oodammo, of course it's very accurate. I can hit a 3-inch target from about 15-20 feet away (and I suck at aiming lol).Extra Features/Sights: 7/10Sights are kinda unnecessary, but fun use if shooting at stationary targets from a REALLY short distance. Safety is also fun to play with, and pretty innovative. Nice work, TD. Piece Efficiency: 10/10Uses very little parts, and gets the job done.Overall: 8.4/10Very good pistol for playing around and war (for a sidearm). Reliable and powerful (for a pistol), this is a must build for anyone with the pieces. Ible: https://www.instructables.com/id/Oodassault-Pistol/EDIT: I have a bad sense of measuring. My friend with better depth perception came over today. He estimated about 20 feet flat with 2 #64s. Whoops :SAnd TD's right, I do rate too high. :S

Lowney's Tempest Review

Well this is Lowney's Rifle that he posted yesterday, and I built it and with his permission I have reviewed it! So, here it goes: Normally, if you wanted an excellent oodammo single shot, you were left with a choice of two: The original KillerK pistol and Oodalumps' rectangle.  Now however, there is the tempest. It boasts something that only it has ever had in the world of k'nex: a rifled barrel attachment.  So let's get on with the specs: Use Firing Interval 8/10 this is based on the fact it is a single shot though. Five seconds is what I average. Bullet Lock 9/10 The bullet has never fallen out for me, but it doesn't feel quite the same as a ball joint Rifle Attachment 9/10 Works very well, but it's not a 10 because it can only do oodammo and velcrammo Smoothbore mode 6/10 Brilliant for any ammo that is shorter than a yellow rod but otherwise not so good Handle 8/10 It's a very very nice handle, second only to the ZKAR and MEZAK Trigger 9/10 Has yet to fail for me, but the movement is quite slight Reliability 10/10 Never failed: single shots rarely do Robustness 10/10 I test robustness by standing on a garden chair and drop in on concrete. It didn't break Other Aesthetics 4/10 the rifled barrel is ugly, but smoothbore mode this gun would be a 9/10 Innovation 9/10 the concept is so simple, yet it works like an absolute charm! Very innovative Range/accuracy 10/10 it shoots 160ft approx. and 80ft with cannon ammo without the rifle Power 10/10 again, this gun is mighty powerful, more powerful than the KillerK gun Pain factor 10/10 don't shoot yourself with cannon ammo, it will draw blood. Metallic or Old? I think comparing mine and Lowney's, old colors look better Weight Balance 7/10 The whole gun is so light there is no need to worry about the balance Totals Use: 86.25% Other: 71.42% Grand Total an impressive average score of 8/10 (1dp) which means I rated this gun 4* and would recommend it to anyone.     -Jesse Barns AKA The One And Only

Revised TR8 review

Ok, so I decided to rebuild it, and I found I got some stuff wrongBodyStock: 8/10 Why: comfyHandle: 8/10 Why: Comfy overall, but there is this spot where I get poked sometimesTrigger: 9/10 Why: seems very reliable, It didnt break this time around (idk why, I built it the exact same way I did from last time), but when you remove the rubberbands, that green rod can fall out.Barrel: 9/10 Why: works very well, but its a generic tube and stickTurret: 10/10 Why: It works awesome with the rest of the gun. Looks: 9/10 Why: looks tight, especially when loaded up with red rods, but the turret seems a bit out of place with the rest of the gunPerformanceRange: 10/10 Why: 90-100 feet flat (2 rubberbands)Power: 10/10 Why: its the most powerful gun I have ever made. It can shoot through various heavy duty cardboard boxes with 2 rubberbandsReliability: 8/10 Why: the turret is a very effective method for the repeater, however, it sometimes skips rounds, but rarely.Innovation: 7/10 Why: nothing that new, except for the revolving mech and the trigger.Recommendation: Yes, I would recommend it to anyone who doesnt want to use a bulky knexsayer, or a single shot in a knex war.Final rating: 9/10

TR8-2015 Review

I received my TR from Killerk this morning. I've had a little hands on time with it so I'll write up my text review now, though I'll also be making a video review in the near future. For now, here's the unboxing and first impressions video: So just to start, I've never made a TR before. I have limited experience with turreted weapons. So what I knew about them I only got from videos and other people's reviews. I didn't doubt the TR was a great performing weapon, but I was wondering what all the hubbub was about. After finally messing around with one for the morning, I can see where the praise comes from. I also noted some things I'd still like improved, at least to personalize on my variant.   I'm going to use a grade scheme (because everyone's impressions on stars and scales are usually biased toward higher numbers). So, just to clarify, don't think of C as bad. It's average. I'll point out what's subjective. I'll nitpick a lot of little things, and I'll give credit where credit is due. Anywho, on to the review. Aesthetics: C+ My impression of the TR has always been that it's been a rather simple weapon. I'm a rather hard man to please in this category. The front is a tube barrel construction. I don't care for the looks of turrets because they're rather chunky for the amount of ammo they take up. The stock is a little skeletony. And it seemingly has weird support pieces thrown in random places. But it's not bad. It still looks like a good weapon. The stock has a nice design. It has a relatively clean cut design around the outside. Ultimately, I know most was for the sake of a strong, durable weapon, and I'll be sure to personalize it more.   Ergonomics: D+ This one I gotta be honest on. The handle just doesn't float my boat. My hands are shaped oddly so I've always made weird sorts of handles myself. While the tires are a cool concept, they help keep your grip on the weapon, and I thought they'd be comfortable, their edges tends to stick out and dig into my hands. They also bulk up handle in a way that my hand just doesn't easily fit it. Like, I know my Oodassault's handle is also rather big, but my hand still fit around it naturally with a flat back and indents around around my thumb and point finger web. But this is something I can customize in the future, so it's not the end of the world by any means. I can still use it as is without being in total pain.  The trigger is a bit different. Not uncomfortable, but not the way I like triggers. Something I'll want to change, but I don't want to compromise its strength, so I'm going to keep analyzing it. The stock is a bit compact. This is yet another preference thing, but I'd like it at a slightly longer length. The charging handle isn't too comfortable to use either. With the rear sight integrated into it, it's a bit difficult to get a good grip on, which is important when you have the bands loaded up on it.  And again, this is subjective so I'm sure I can improve it for my preferences and it'll be just fine. I otherwise appreciate what Killerk attempted here. The front grip on the other had is rather comfortable. I don't think I'll need to change that ever. Ease of Use: B Things look up from here. The ratchet mechanism wasn't immediately obvious to me, but with previous K'nexing experience, I figured it out. Still, I wouldn't trust a newbie to be able to pick it up and know how to use that part specifically without direction. So that's part of the reason it's not a higher grade, but again, nitpicking. It's otherwise incredibly useful to be able to wind the band without turning the turret itself. It lets you load ammo and then just twist the ratchet, which isn't too difficult, to make sure it loads after each shot.  When I change the charging handle to be more comfortable, I'll appreciate it much more. Having a charging handle on a weapon loaded up with a lot bands makes it a lot easier to use. The rail guides and the pin guide are all perfectly constructed to make sure it's a smooth, straight pullback.  On that note, back to the stock from an ease of use perspective, because it's a bit shorter than I'd like, I don't feel like I have proper leverage on the charging handle. It's one thing I like about pistols, being able to use both arms to pull apart the gun and the pin to make it easier to draw. For this weapon, it's recommended to shoulder the stock and push back against you, which would be a little easier for me with a longer stock. It probably won't be a problem for others. Overall, I think someone strong enough could pick it up and, with a little direction, figure it out pretty quickly. It's something I could easily teach a friend how to use and then they shouldn't have a problem with it. Reliability: A This is one of the areas where the TR shines. It's only not perfect because of a few possible things you can do to mess it up. Now, to be fair, I haven't fired it enough to have a misfire, but I doubt that'll ever be a problem. The nature of the turret itself means that you shouldn't have any problems. However, I'd worry about little things like bumping the turret in such a way it skips a round. The power transfer pins offer a point of failure for the gun if you're not careful. Removing a round requires you to manually push back in the pin to avoid accidentally firing off an empty chamber, which I can imagine might be bad. I'm also a wee bit skeptical about the trigger setup but it hasn't failed on me. I may want to make a safety mechanism for this weapon, though. Something that wouldn't allow the trigger to move out of the way of the pin at all. Construction: A-  It's pretty dang solid. I did notice (more nitpicking) that the handle connection creaks a little bit. So it's not perfectly solid, but Killerk did a pretty good job at constructing this in such a way there shouldn't be many points of failure. It held up in shipping after all. There are some odd support structures here and there, but then some areas that are either neglected, or he just didn't care about. Honestly, I have no idea what he added because he thought it was necessary, what he added because it looked cool, and what he added just because he could. So there are some things I might change for the sake of consistency and aesthetics, but it's otherwise something I'd trust be able to drop, pickup, and use just fine. I'd only worry about dropping it right on the turret.  Performance: A+ This is the one area you can say is perfect for the TR. Basically, it's designed to maximize power, and finned ammo are designed to be stable, thus increasing range and accuracy. The tube barrel minimizes the snag on the pin from hitting any gaps and gives the gun a solid mounting point for bands. The turret treats each round as a single shot. The length of the charging distance is maximized while still being practical. It's as good as you can do for a pin gun, and it's as accurate as you can make K'nex ammo with minimal modification/using entirely different materials.  Overall Thoughts as a War Weapon:  I'm not going to grade this because there's so much opinion thrown in here, it wouldn't be fair. I can see where this thing would be everyone's weapon of choice. It has an 8 round capacity, which seems limiting, but you can reload whenever you happen to find ammo, so in theory it shouldn't be a problem until you're rushed with low ammo. If fin ammo is allowed, then clearly it's the best you can do for a repeater at the moment. Without it, it's got the most effective range you'll possibly find for a pin gun, though it's just not as easy for me to prime as a pistol. It's a weapon more about picking your shots instead of dishing them out as fast as possible. I'll need to do some raw comparisons with my Oodassault pistol to see which I'd prefer after I see all the differences. For example, what if the range really does make a difference compared to the ease of recharging? I'll just have to make it to a war with both weapons sometime and see which I do better with. Overall Thoughts as a Fun Weapon: Its main novelty is the range and accuracy you get in a repeater. It's satisfying to shoot multiple rounds down range and hit your target with ease. Other than that, it's mostly featureless. It's not something I'd dink around with in the house (mostly out of fret of damaging the walls). It might impress my friends the first time they see it and how far it fires. The ratchet mechanism might also be cool to show. But after that, there isn't much wow factor. Not that you'd need much more. It shoots hard. That's all you'll need to wow someone with plastic and rubber bands. I'm personally the kind of guy that likes having things like realistic charging handles, removable magazines, adjustable stocks, etc. just for novelty's sake, but that's just me. This is a no-nonsense weapon built for performance, and in that regard it does very well. I'll keep mine around and make small modifications to it. I won't deconstruct it for pieces to make other weapons. It'll be nice to have a raw performance weapon around all the time so I can focus on new concepts without think "I wish I had something that fired well, I'm going to rebuild my Oodassault." So it's fun enough to be worth keeping.  Overall, I'd highly recommend making it at least once just to experience it, see what it's all about. If you enjoy performance, taking highly accurate and ranged shots at targets, you'll appreciate it. It's also pretty modular in that if you keep its base construction intact, you can personalize it reasonably well. Better weapons can be built just for the sake of having fun, so it's not something everyone might want to keep permanently, but if you have the pieces, I think a lot of people will like to keep it around, as many already have.

A proper K'nexsayer review (updated with pic)

Well, I built the knexsayer a few minutes ago, and I realized there were no proper reviews on it.  So I made my own. BODY: Stock: 9/10  Pretty strong, but still not enough to hold the gun up when I hold it there by itself Handle: 9/10 Very comfortable and strong. Body: 9/10: The individual panels are flimsy, but together, It's a literal brick Pump: 7/10: Eh, it FEELS a bit flimsy in my opinion on the rails, but its still enough to work, and in reality, it's decently sturdy.  As for the pump itself, nice work. Barrel: 9/10: Very strong, but front heavy and may be difficult to construct for a newcomer (not really difficult for me) Turret: 8/10: Its really cool and all, but the only connection it has to the barrel seems flimsy. Looks: 10/10: I like the look of it a lot Overall: 8.8/10 Performance: Range: 9/10: Gets 65 feet with 4 #64 bands Power: 9/10: Pierces cardboard at point blank Reliability: 9/10: The pin guide breaks every time I pull the pump back.  I need a fix for it.  EDIT: Problem solved, I bumped it back up 3 points because it works now. Innovation: 10/10: New trigger, New rotation mech, and pump action, all in a gun that performs very well. Overall: 9.3/10 FINAL SCORE: 9/10 Now even though this is a good gun, I still may have some gripes that were unrelated to what I scored on.  In this case, I have 1.  It is very difficult to put rubberbands on the gun or take them off.  But I still love it. Good night everybody.  And yes Knex_lover, I still have quite a bit of knex left over.  TD, if you wonder why I rated everything so high, it is because it deserves those high ratings, and I had little to complain about.

Ok so I built the Z35 assault rifle to day and I thought why not make a review for it. S0lekill3r's Oodammo Shotbow Review

Here is my review for the Oodammo Shotbow by s0lekill3r: Power: 7/10, it could be more but the bands have to push two rams, not one. Range: 7/10, as above really. Looks: 9/10, it may not have been made for looks (I don't know)but it certainly looks great, especially in metallic pieces, like almost everything. Accuracy: 9/10, I doubt it could go higher seeing as it uses the special 'oodammo' but I've decided to leave room for improvement as a new kind of technique may be developed. Using just two green rods and a complete hinge you can make an accurate sight. Comfort: 5/10, the handle is a bit of a fail as it requires a broken piece in order to be more comfortable (blue connector). The firing pin 'tray' also goes into your thumb. Ease of use: 7/10, the ram is very easy to use and pull back but the loading technique is a bit confusing as you have to:- remove the ammo pushers, insert oodammo and get it in the grooves then place back the ammo pushers. All in all, I would rate it 8/10 but a definite build (once s0lekill3r has posted instructions), it's very fun to play with and can fire fast if you use it correctly. Good work s0lekill3r.

I will review any gun.

Just so people know i am happy to review any gun as long as it follows these: (1) it must be an instructable (so other people can build it) (2) it has to be a decent gun (not like a 10 piece gun) if you want me to review any guns just tell me here and i will work on it.

Knex KLS v2 review.

This is Kinetics KLS v2 review. comfort: 8/10 - pretty comfortable, no rods sticking out on the handle. power: 10/10 - excellent power, considering its semi automatic. i got 40ft with 2 #64s. looks: 6/10 - its not the best of looking guns, but looks can be decieving. innovation: 10/10 - fantastic ideas put into this gun like the horizontal magazine, magazine release, locking magazine pusher and its semi automatic. (i also added a safety on mine) accuracy: 7/10 - the shots tend to bounce off to the left and right a bit, but nothing huge. piece usage: 6/10 - it uses quite alot of yellow connectors and green rods for most people. strenght: 8/10 - pretty solid structure, the handle is the weakest part on the whole gun. reliability: 6/10 - very poor magazine feed. you also have to pull the trigger quick to avoid the bullet from just going vertical. overall: 61/80 - Its a really good gun with cool features that you would rarely find in any other gun, its well worth the build! link: https://www.instructables.com/id/Knex-Semi-Automatic-Rifle-The-KLS-V2/

bballkidx's Hammered Pistol - Review

I have not written an review in quite some time, so I though it would be good to take the time to do so again. I have recently built the gun titled: "Knex Pistol, with a NEW! firing mechanism, a Hammer," and I thought it would be good to settle the scores on this particular 'ible now, even though it was posted on Jan 12, 2008, and the last comment was posted on Aug 27, 2012. This gun is not as amazing as it has been made out to be. Granted, the hammer mech is kinda cool, and the way it was pulled off was not bad at all, but the way it was made on the whole needs to be spoken of. Pros: The hammer mechanism is great. It works efficiently and well, and it gives an "old-time-feel" to this gun. The trigger also works effectually, and keeps the hammer from moving every time. The loading process works well too. You pull the hammer back all the way, you push a round into the barrel, you pull the trigger, and then you repeat. Part of the reason, I think, that this gun works so well is because it is very simple, which is more than can be said for most guns (many of my guns included). Cons: The body. It is very hard to hold and looks like he (the creator) just slapped some parts on to the mechanism. This really does take away a lot of the ability of this gun, because you cannot hold it without being uncomfortable. You have to hold your hand in such a weird position, and the position of the handle is so low, that you can hardly reach the trigger. Lastly, the firing mech is very inconsistant. Some times if fires, sometimes it does not. Overall: I would suggest you build this gun...only if you want to get a idea of how a hammer gun should work. But don't come expecting a epic hammer gun that gets (as he claims) 30 ft. I fired this gun at least 20 times, and I doubt that it would get 10 ft. Now, I don't want to offend the author at all, and he has a great starting point, but he should have put more work into the gun overall. -The Red Book of Westmarch

DGM's Blazer Sniper Rifle

I am reviewing Darth Gecko Man's latest sniper! What to expect: Strength: 8/10 Why: Small chance it will break. Range: 7/10 Why: Too effected by wind with the original bullet Looks: 8/10 Why: Looks good. It is nice and small. Parts: Handle: 5/10 Why: Way too small. Cant fit my hand Stock: 0/10 Why: No Stock!!!! Barrel: 0/10 Why: No Barrel! Fake barrel: 8/10 Why: Works easily and look good Bipod: 0/10 Why: No bipod!!! (This is not necissary. I am just noting that it does not have one. Please no more argueing) Modability: 10/10 Why: This gun is very easy to modify and would be great for beginners to play around with. Even I made a mod of it by adding a stock and moving the front handle to the rear and making the rear handle part of the stock. In the end: Erganomics are not too good. Feels too small. BUT in a knex war it would be good not as a sniper but as a secondary weapon. The trigger system cant hold too much pressure but for a medium range weapon it is good Creator: Darth Gecko Man Gun: Blazer v1 Sniper Rifle

(3:13)Third album by the Texas trio. After 1972's rather fractured "Rio Grande Mud" the Little Ol' Band From Texas is finally getting their unique, bluesy sound down. All ten songs are solid ZZ Top and rate four or five stars (out of 5) - definitely a recommended buy. This album is before they discovered the horn section - just three gringos cranking out the tunes. From the slow "Hot, Blue and Righteous" to the Top 40 "La Grange" to the hard-driving "Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers," there's something here for just about every rock and roll fan - especially those with a taste for white-boy blues.

Album Review: Harry Nilsson - Nilsson Schmilsson (1971) ****

Harry Nilsson - Nilsson SchmilssonRelease Date: 1971Nacho's Rating: 4 (out of 5)Tracks:01 - Gotta Get Up YouTube02 - Driving Along YouTube03 - Early In The Morning YouTube04 - The Moonbeam Song05 - Down06 - Without You YouTube (hit single in 1972)07 - Coconut YouTube08 - Let The Good Times Roll09 - Jump Into the Fire YouTube10 - I'll Never Leave YouThe 2002 remastered version also has demo versions of all but "Early In The Morning". This is the album that first turned me on to music. I had been interested in music before I heard this, but Nilsson's wide range of styles and his goosebump-inducing vocals showed me that there was more to music than Top40 hits and screaming guitars.. For me, the album as a whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Some of the songs don't stand alone very well, but sound pretty good when played together. I could do without "The Moonbeam Song" and "I'll Never Leave You" (having to follow "Jump Into The Fire" is a big disadvantage) but even they sound OK in context.. The album leads off with the rather goofy "Gotta Get Up" and follows with "Driving Along" - neither a great song, but definitely fun to listen to.. "Early In The Morning" gives a peek at what he can do with his voice and it's a good song, too.. "The Moonbeam Song" shifts into slow ballad mode. Nothing special, but Nilsson does a pretty good job.. "Down" is a nice bluesy song that starts to really show off his voice.. "Without You" is one of my all-time favorite songs. Nilsson takes a rather smarmy song and infuses if with FEELING. I still get goose-bumps when I hear the refrain.. "Coconut" is about as silly as a song can get, but Nilsson somehow makes it work. Another favorite for me. Wooo-oo-oo.. "Let The Good Times Roll" is another bluesy song with great vocals. Fits well between Coconut and JITF.. "Jump Into The Fire" is another favorite of mine. Not many singers can scream and make it sound good. And it has a bass line and a drum solo that will put a grin on Punkguyta's face as he blows out his speakers/amp.. "I'll Never Leave You" is a slow plaintive wail that is a bit of a let down after JITF. Great vocals, but I've never liked the song.. Not an album for every one. Check out the YouTube clips and see what you think.Links:Harry Nilsson at Wikipedia

Red's Reliable (R3) Mods and Review

Whatup. So I built Red's Reliable (R3). It was pretty ownage, but there were a few things that popped out at me as annoying, but easily fixed/modded: -Flimsy trigger guard and short trigger -The mag wasn't preloadable -Looked a little long (imo) -Asymmetric at 6 layers -Pin was hard to grasp and could wobble once pulled -Back sights were flimsy -Pieces would break where the pin hit the gun Now, these are all the negative things, but in the original gun, the positives outweigh them. Here are all the things I love about this gun: -Looks AMAZING -Fires green rod/grey connector ammo, my second favorite type -Shoots 35-45 feet (for me), so pretty powerful at close-mid range -Really good pin pull distance -Sturdy -Almost never jams -Reliable mech (heh heh) -Did I mention it looks amazing? So I decided to mod the gun and fix all the things that annoyed me. Here's what my mods have done: +Mag is now preloadable (Has a ceiling) +Trigger guard is sturdy, and trigger is longer +Shorter front barrel (which increases range because of less barrel to bounce off of) +Symmetric, and has metallic 6th and 7th layers (Sorry for jacking your style BM but it looks better that way) +Pin is now much easier to grasp, and doesn't move left or right when pulled +Back sights are now very sturdy +Where the pin hits the gun is now reinforced so that no pieces are damaged when the gun fires So that's kinda an overview/review of the gun. Before the mods, it was like a 7/10. After, I would rate it at an 8.5/10. Props to Red for making such a great gun. More Mods/Review - Johnhall14's Tactical Shotgun v2

Jollex' DASH knex slingshot review

Jollex made a new free-flying slingshot, which was capable of shooting oodammo, and cannon ammo (yellow rod with a red con on the business end), and the trigger held the bullet, not the bands. I hadn't made many of them before so I decided to give it a 'shot'(:D). Body strenght:10/10, it has a very good crossing pattern through the whole body, that makes it extremely strong.  comfort: 7/10, the stock could have been much better, although it doesn't take away from the overall comfort, it could have been a lot comfier. The handle gets 5 of those points though, because he did a good job going out of his way to make it even comfier. Trigger  Locking mech strength: 10/10, could hold 15 64#s and then some, and you only need 3. Overall mech: 10/10, purely the fact that it was a sliding trigger could have got that, but, its a sear, and I don't really count sears as sliding triggers, but this goes even further and puts a semi ratchet at the back of the sear, which was bloody brilliant, so it deserves it. Power Bullet force:10/10, oodammo can punch through the cardboard like a blue rod punches through paper, and cannon ammo is even more powerful than oodammo.  Range:12/10, well if 90 feet got 9/10, then you can see how powerful this is (slanted of course). Bow  Strength: 9/10, it bends (using black rods) a bit with 3 #64s, but the way the bands are put on is really good, so you don't need to unhook anything, and there is not many places to get the bands tangled up in. Reloading ease: 10/10, its really easy to get the bands to cock back, and its not hard on your fingers at all. Tactics F4A attack: 1/5, running in with this singleshot is the worst thing you can do period.   F4A defence: 3/5, you better have a good sidearm, because if you miss... and you need a good base aswell. Team attack: 3/5 as long as you have someone further up then you who you can support, but don't be the one to run in headfirst. Its silent aswell, and I know a lot of people like to think they are stealthy, but truth is most of you ain't. So you have to be good.   Team defense: 5/5, finally the area it shines on. Huge range, silent, hole up in a tree somewhere with a few splodies, the Dash, and some cookies. Perfect for picking off enemy scouts and anyone who tries to get further. -------OVERALL: 90000000000/10000000000. Or, 9/10, or 9 tenths, or 4.5/5, or 90% positive. Instructable can be found here.

Jig-A-Patch Spray Spackle Review

The makers of Jig-A-Patch sprayable spackling drywall filler sent us a can of their product, and asked someone from Instructables to review it. Over the weekend, I smashed a wall carrying something up the stairs, and had the opportunity to try it out. The packaging is pretty cool, but the spackle itself is too liquid, and flows too easily. After spraying on enough to fill the hole, smoothing it flat, and removing excess, it still tended to flow out of the gash leaving a dimple. After letting it dry, I had to put on another coat of regular spackle, which worked perfectly.I'll stick with regular spackle for now.
