Can I get a W00T for summer??? Now that summer is here I have had a bit of extra time to dedicate to my gun building, and I have completed my Semi Auto. The Kinetic Last Stand is a small, compact semi auto rifle that utilizes 4-shot low cap removable mags and has a firing mechanism that originated from Louis XIV's semi auto, just a bit more complex. My idea of this has been around since christmas when I posted pictures of my first attempt of this gun, however It required too much energy to pull the trigger that was necessary, and so I created the V.2, which uses a simpler, more efficient trigger that allows you to utilize the energy of 2 #64's with little effort. The only downside is the mag capacity, which can be improved by a about 1.5 for every half moon connector that the mag, and in turn, stock, is extended. Thats about it...the video will demonstrate just how impressive this gun is. Maxed out means the maximum amount of power I would use for a war for the sake of keeping a high rate of fire. Let me know what you think!

Here it is: the bullpup, tube mag, bolt-action, pump-action, sling semi-repeater. This is by far my most favorite gun I have ever built. The reason I call it a "semi-repeater" is because while it has a magazine, loading it involves a two-step process of pulling back the rubber band and then pulling the pump. Therefore you don't have to load each individual bullet into the barrel by hand, the pump does that for you, but the band still has to be pulled back manually. The gun was originally intended to have the pump bull back the band as well, but to do so the pullback distance would have to be greater, requiring a larger barrel to house a longer pullback, requiring pieces I just don't have. When I get the pieces I am going to make the pump pull the band back, and I will post that as the V.2. What I love about this gun is that it takes many concepts and combines them to work in sync with one another. I also like the fact that there is almost no limit to how powerful you can make this gun, since the ratchet can hold an incredible amount of tension. Overall it is an incredible gun, averaging ~60ft with the 1 band used in the video. Though it isn't the most reasonable choice for a war (it only holds 4 shots in the mag and is huge), it is well on its way to becoming the most efficient knex repeater out there. -Kinetic iMovie wrecks.

I have one, and it's going to be worse then useless after the DTV switch, so I was thinking it might be nice to be able to set it up for game systems, like if the tv's being used and I wanna play GCN or something.

Hello fellow iblers’! I’m JonnyBGood and today I decided to post a review of the SRV3 concept. Be sure to note that this is not KILLERK’s official version but a close knock-off. I did not use the same bands or the exactly same mech. I also did not make side covers or the monopod so don’t judge his version based on my model. I also never shot it outdoors so ranges are a complete guess, but I will say KILLERK’s ranges are very believable since I witnessed them at Knex War 2013. So now with all that gibberish out of the way what exactly am I reviewing? Well I’m reviewing the concept, the ratchet mech, trigger mech, and any other part that contributes to the guns function and ergonomics. Okay so now let’s start with the ratchet… Ratchet- After the first use of the gun, I couldn’t imagine trying to load the gun without it. I did try loading it without using it and ended up spontaneous launching it in random directions, something you don’t want to happen with a gun this powerful. (Luckily the wall I hit was cement) The ratchet concept is really what makes the gun usable for people of any age, height or strength so I definitely think KILLERK did a great job designing this feature. Trigger- Well I willingly admit this part is the most different from KILLERK’s version, but it does rely on the same concept of the round being held in by a clamping force. I was actually the most concerned about how this would work because to me holding back a force that could send a yellow rod through a door with a clamp didn’t quite make sense to me. I will saw after building it I now don’t doubt the clamps capability to hold the round, and now it also makes sense as to why he used a clamp. The clamp trigger mech allows for a very light trigger pull due to the pivot point being so close to the ammo, so the slightest pull moves the clamp up. SRV-3 trigger is definitely one of those surprising concepts, being that the most powerful gun on instructible’s has one of the lightest trigger pulls I have ever used. Random other things- The ratchet and trigger were the two concepts which to me stood out the most for the SRV-3 concept but there are many other things about the gun which I will cover here. The Handle- So surprisingly enough it is actually pretty comfy, and it’s mainly built to hold the heaviest knex gun I have ever built. On the other hand, I wouldn’t try lifting this gun by just the handle, but why would you? You are definitely not going to akimbo these things unless maybe the handles were moved more toward the front of the gun, and then held like an RPG, but again why would you even want to akimbo or hold it with one hand? It’s a sniper rifle! The Dimensions and some other random things- Alright I bring dimensions up here because I think it’s one thing to see pictures and another to actually know how big this is. If you stand it on end it’s about six feet tall and it’s a yellow rod wide, so ten layers wide. (if you filled in the center which you would not do). Again as I ranted about earlier this is what makes this gun so heavy but it’s required for the amount of power it’s capable of. You would also add another two layers if you wanted to make it more presentable so it could be 12 layers wide if you want it to be. Another thing that I noticed on my version was that the gun bows toward the end. Granted I’m not sure as to why or if I was missing a support somewhere but it wasn’t a problem just something I noticed. The only other thing I was planning on reviewing the accuracy but if anything was relevant it is that I suck at shooting accurately! XD I can’t even shoot guns I build accurately so, a guy who is much better at creating coverfire, will not be giving an accuracy score. I will say the sights allowed me to shoot a 8 ½ by 11 sheet of paper from ten to twenty feet relatively easily, so they do help. In conclusion I would recommend you build the SRV-3 if you have the pieces for it. I would especially recommend it if you haven’t built one of KILLERK’S SR’s before because the power will blow you away. It is deffinitlly the king of the slingshot platform for now and probably until an SRV-4. ( I apologize for the poor picture quality but it would not fit in my normal picture taking spot and there's still too much snow outside for outdoor pictures. Sorry!)

Hey guys! Well, it has been a while since I have made a pistol (yes, I know, I just posted my FN Five-Seven 'ible, but I had taken those pictures a long time ago), so I decided to make a gun I saw in my March 2014 issue of Guns and Ammo Magazine, the Kel Tec PMR0-30. The original shoots .22 Magnum, has a 30 + 1 magazine capacity, and only costs about $415.00 U.S. dollars. Mine shoots tan/blue clips/connectors, has a 10 - 13 +1 magazine capacity, and only uses about 100 - 150 pieces. I have yet to fire the thing, so this forum topic is just to gauge what you guys think about it. Credit: Most the the handle/grip comes from Blue Mullet 2's Pistole Makarov. Everything else is pretty much original. Features: - Only 8 in. long - 10 - 13 +1 magazine capacity (this can be easily increased) - Nice setup overall - Semi-comfortable handle/grip - Nice sight set (I forgot to take a pic of them) - Easily modifiable Well, that is all the time I have to write for right now, I got lunch calling my name! Enjoy! -The Red Book of Westmarch

Im rushing this to try to get the next round in during Christmas break so you have lots of time to work on your creation. Backup project: If for some reason you can't make a ball machine lift, you need to make something that will do a basic task, probably powered by a crank or rubberbands. Ideas: A hand powered by cranks to move it on a X, Y, Z axis A Rubberband powered can opener ect. Be creative with this Project. I want to see really amazing things. Please note you can only attempted the Backup project if you have a valid reason why you can't make a ball lift. Everyone who has the pieces to build a ball lift has to. if you have a valid reason, please post it as a comment to this before making your project so i know. When your done, post a like to the foruminstructable for me to put up here. Now get building!

Hey guys! One of my favorite Instructables of all time would have to be my previous Magpul Masada ACR. I really just loved how it looked, how if felt, etc. So, after all this time (and after not a few request) I decided to rebuild it, and give it all the experience I now have (that I did not have back in January of 2013). This version (now version 3) has a bunch of new stuff, such as: - New stock (adapted from my gun Reliable) - New (better) mechanism - New flip-up sights - New lower receiver (adapted from my AAC Honey Badger) Overall, it is a great improvement, and I can't wait to finish and post it. Tell me what you guys think! Enjoy! -The Red Book of Westmarch

Whatup! So I built Johnhall14's Tactical Shotgun v2. It was pretty ownage, but there were a few things that popped out at me as annoying, but easily fixed/modded: -Underbarrel shotgun's trigger guard kinda got in the way and was flimsy -No sights -Handle guard broke a lot; got annoying -Pin pull was obstructed by lots of yellow connectors -Trigger was a little short (imo) -Pin got stuck on pin block when being pulled back Now, these are all the negative things, but in the original gun, the positives outweigh them. Here are all the things I love about this gun: -Powerful. This gun is actually really, really, powerful. -Looks pretty nice -Mag is easy to use and looks cool -Underbarrel shotgun is awesome and really fun to shoot -Shoots 3 bullets per shot, with a mag. Now that's firepower. -Great range for a shotgun: 35-50 feet So I decided to mod the gun and fix all the things that annoyed me. Here's what my mods have done: +No more underbarrel shotgun trigger guard +Simple sights (better than nothing) +Reinforced handle guard +Pin no longer obstructed, which actually makes the gun look cooler (imo) +Thicker handle (May not be a plus for some people) and sturdier stock +Revised mech so pin doesn't get stuck +Metallic 6th and 7th layers, even on mag +Modded mag that shoots one bullet at a time +Easy to grip pin This gun, after mods, is probably one of my favorites that I've ever built. It's powerful, it's got some serious firepower, and it looks awesome, which can't hurt. Props to Johnhall14, this gun is awesome! ANYWAY, check out the video of this gun in action! DISCLAIMER: I edited the video so times in between reloads were cut out. The ROF shown is really inaccurate, and it's much slower than you're about to see. The ROF is still good, but it's not this fast. More Mods/Review - Red's Reliable (R3)

I've finally gotten around to finding my camera, and well, I figured I might as well put something up, considering I havent done that in a while. What we have here is a Vector done around the tds slant design. This allowed for the closest and most realistic feel. (it may not look it in the picture but the slant does feel just right, even though its about 10 degrees off) the handle is quite comfortable and the stock is moderately sturdy. the magazine isn't finished yet but it will fire grey connectors with the little green pegs. the front handle is actually quite... poor and doesent support much weight at all. If anyone has ideas for that let me know. the underbarrel ( where the handle is) and the first 12 inches of the gun have rail support and I am pretty sure the reflex sights that worked with barrax's ACR would be compatible for now, at least until I make my own. Has a "creative" trigger that hasn't been tested so, "we shall see" The rear portion of the gun that isnt filled up (cuz I know its driving you all crazy) is so you can pull back the charging handle, which ends up making the gun shorter. This is good because this vector is not only a vector, its a replica :) The gun only varries by about 1 inch from front to back and by about half an inch from top to bottom. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Just linking to the new slideshow, it has the latest pictures: https://www.instructables.com/id/Knex-Vector-Kriss-Super-V/ V 1.0 General frame with huge open area V 2.0 The one thats not open, has a stronger foregrip and a black dot sight :), and the stock is epic V 2.1 Added a trigger guard

The KWR1 (K’NEX War Ready gun #1 Version #1) V.1 came out of my idea to build an entirely “mod-able” slingshot sniper weapon that you could rely upon in any outdoor K’NEX war (hence the name). You could make this gun longer; you could make this gun shorter. You could add a nonadjustable stock; you could make the stock longer, you can do practically anything to this gun (other than change the mechanism and the handle position). Features: Good range: 60 ft. (1 band) – 100 ft. (5 bands, 45 degree angle) Can shoot: Oodammo (1 band: 60 ft.), Large K’NEX wheel (5 bands: 30 ft.), Small K’NEX wheel (5 bands: over 80 ft.), Lego bricks (5 bands: 50 ft.), NERF darts (5 bands: 50 ft.), and size #117 bands as a RBG (30 – 40 ft.) 10 point adjustable stock (see pictures 8 -11) with “Stock lock” (see pictures 13 - 15, 17) Totally customizable Safety (see pictures 15 - 16) Cheek rest (see picture 9) Not too piece consuming Now, with all of that out of the way, I want to talk about ammo sizes and the “the more bands, the better” myth. So to do that, let’s look at the stats (shooting with three size #117 bands): Red Connecter Ammunition: No rod attached: 62 ft. Green rod attached: 55 ft. 4 in. White rod attached (oodammo): 42 ft. Blue rod attached: 35 ft. 5 in. Yellow rod attached: 40 - 45 ft. Red rod attached: (got caught in the bands) Grey rod attached: (got caught in the bands) Grey Connecter Ammunition: No rod attached: 64 ft. 9 in. Green rod attached: 59ft. 4 in. White rod attached: 50 ft. Blue rod attached: (got caught in bands) Yellow rod attached: 40 ft. Red rod attached: (got caught in bands) Grey rod attached: (got caught in bands) As you can see, the larger the round got, the lower the range you would receive. I think that this is a direct proof that bigger bullets are not necessarily good ammunition. For example, the ZKAR uses yellow rods? Might it get better range if it shot blue rods? Now, admittedly, the instances may be different with different guns, but I highly doubt it. Conclusion: Stick with ammo sizes between blue rods and white rods (including both the blue rod and the white rod). Now I want to talk a little about the “the more bands, the better” myth. I took the KWR1 out to my backyard, grabbed some oodammo (growing in our garden, mind you), and commenced shooting from a prone position. Then I got this idea… what if I was to shoot with only 1 band, and not all 5? So I started to do that, leaving the bullets where the fell after having been shot. Then I decided to go back to shooting with 5 bands, to see how much better the range would be. So I fired a couple rounds… and got no better range than I did when I shot with only 1 band. I did this a couple more times, and found it to be true. There is a myth (myth = a traditional story) pervading instructables that you will always get better range with more bands. Now, it is my personal opinion that if a gun can’t get 50 ft. with two bands, it’s no good, but that is irrelevant. Conclusion: More bands does not necessarily mean better range. Now, I am not stating these subjects as fact, for that would seem arrogant and presumptuous, but I do believe they are, to some extent, true. -The Red Book of Westmarch

Apart from my Calico M-950 and my Magpul Masada ACR, the RMACR is my favorite build of all time. I sorta consider it my TR8 of magazine guns. As this is the case, I bring you the RMACR V.2. While it is not a huge change from the first version, it is still a great gun. Moreover, it may be generic to some people, but if a generic gun does its job, and does it well, what does it matter if it is generic. With ranges exceeding 50 ft., a 16 rd. magazine, a new (sturdy) stock, nice sights, this gun would excel in an indoor K'NEX war. Features: Looks great (IMO) Sturdy (except the pistol grip) New stock Really nice pin-pull-length 16 rd. magazine Relatively good rate-of-fire Really accurate Fun to shoot This gun can fire the ammo you see in pic #14 (which is THE best ammo, IMO), or it can fire white rods. It is very customizable, as you could change almost anything (except the mech) and it would still work great. Sadly, it does use broken pieces, and it's magazine is not "preloadable," but the gun is nice overall. I am posting this as a forum topic because I want to gauge interest in me posting a full set of instructions. -The Red Book of Westmarch

My question is: can these 2 batteries be connected, in parallel to power the amplifier I have ( 12 V) and 1) it would give me a ~ 11 AH battery? 2) could I charge them both, ( connected like that ) with a 12 V battery charger ( a automotive battery trickle charger) I have at hand?

If you know of somebody that has done this you could just give me the name of the person that made instructions or if possible just a direct link to the instructions. Hello All This is a review on 'RBLTR V.1 (Red's Breach Loading Tactical Rifle)'. The RBLTR V.1 was published on the 1st of July 2013, and is considered by red himself to be his most powerful K'nex gun he has ever built. After building the gun and seeing the internals, it uses a pin pull mech and they look very similar to the G36C mech. There are many nice features to this gun that makes it original like the comfort bar and the sights. The gun shoots yellow rods to anyone wondering. STATS Range 10/10 - The range of the gun is rather high than an average gun. I managed to get 50ft accurately and around 80- 90 ft at an angle. It it described that the gun can reach ranges up to 70ft in the original description so I think 70ft is a fair judgement. As I managed to get 80ft plus, I think the rating is 10/10. Appearance/ Looks 8/10 - The gun at first sight looks pretty hardcore although this does not really matter, I personally liked the comfort bar and the sights. The gun has a solid build so I think around a 8/10. Internals 8/10 - The internals within the gun are rather good, although I have had a few jams so I think 8/10. Broken Pieces 9/10 - The gun does not use any broken pieces however in some places the performance of the gun will exceed if broken pieces are used. That having been said I think a 9/10. Comfort 10/10 - I admire the gun mainly for its comfort of the handle. This helps to make the gun more accurate while aiming therefore a 10/10 without a doubt. Rate of Fire 6/10 - The ROF on this gun is quite good. When reloading this gun it did not take too long but their has been a lot more quicker and so I think a 6/10. Sturdiness/Durability 8/10 - The gun is put together well as I said earlier and I find it firm. When building this and adding the comfort bar is seemed that it was weak but as I added to it, it strengthened. Although the permanent fore-grip is rather weak in my opinion and could be stronger so I think a 8/10. Overall - 59/70 - This gun overall is awesome and I would recommend to build it! Also keep in mind that this is my ratings and opinions of the gun. Be sure to check out The Red Book of Westmarch's other guns. I hope you have enjoyed the review! Thank you! Hunter999

Ok ive been knex'ing for a little bit ive decided that i like pistols the most. my favorite being the M1911 and beretta 92fs but the king of all pistols the desert eagle i have seen every replica of this gun/guns (including the other two) and none of them work like them. if im correct selezonias M1911 looks real but no mag in the handle and no slide. i havent seen a beretta yet. and the desert eagle no one has actually made one that works like the real one (back slide action) the closest gun ive seen is ironman's i forget which one so i want everyone to tell me which one i should build. your vote would be very helpful.
