yes the barrel is not good but the ammo comes not out the front barrel and 40 50 feet is good for a knex sniper

40-50 feet is not so good for a sniper although thats OK a sniper should have a range of like 70+ feet for tru sniping power 40-50 is like a small crossbow range (see mine!) and is only decent at that
