Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. Rabbit poop can be a little difficult to come by, but it's still possible. It's incredible that such recipes existed so long ago and are still in use now. I have had the pleasure of working with pure natural turpentine, which smelled wonderful. Much better than the chemical version of today.

Hello. According to study done by L. Wadley (Compound-adhesive manufacture as a behavioral proxy for complex cognition in the Middle Stone Age), Iron oxide from ochre is chemically deposited into the compound and acts as cementing agent. It could be replaced by other ingredients such as sand, but I chose ochre because of its pleasant warm color.It's hard to say for sure, but I think ochre batches are really stickier than those where ochre isn't. It is amazing that the Neanderthals somehow figured it out!

Hello. Since I also collect altitude data, I don't think it's an overkill. It would be quite meaningless if altitude was 300 meters above the sea level at one data point, and minute after it was 20 meters higher. Because you don't have the real data, you can only guess what profile is between those two points.However, thank you for your suggestion; if the datalogger's primary role was to keep track over a longer period of time, a different design approach would be required.

Hey, nice and well documented project. I would definitely add an earth connection to the top heating plate, since it is made of metal. This way it would be way more safe and it can prevent the mains voltage getting into the plate. Also, did you bridge the resistive fuse mentioned in Step n.2 ?

Hello, thank you for the feedback. Data from all sensors is collected every 500 milliseconds and stored on the microSD card in a simple .txt format. To retrieve the data, you just eject the card after the logging and read in in Excel or LibreOffice, where you can make graphs of them. It would be interesting to add a live app to track the data, but this way it works without the smart devices.But you are right - I should state that this is a data logger.
