Wow! That's amazing. :) Kinda makes you think though: Perhaps an insect hotel should be called "an ecology" hotel. Even if the squirrels eat some of the bugs, that's all part of the local ecology.

Hey Gary - can you link me to good resources describing what sort of materials are best for attracting beneficial bugs? Or perhaps bugs that need the most help? We're in Jutland, Denmark, so the climate is a bit different from the states. But I think the goal with bug hotels is to help bugs of all or most sorts, since populations are in steep decline worldwide.

That's awesome!! :) And with the 2 bottle approach, you don't really need to have such a heavy keel as mine had. You should make a whole instructable about yours if you haven't already - it looks really cool!
