Another simple and quite ingenious instructable. I'm being completely serious. If people did this all around the world it would eliminate so much waste and you are right, every little gadget on here that uses batteries could be improved by having a self-sustaining cell like this to power it. I have seen something similar before but this is the best design I have come across. I love it and will be sharing it for sure. Also, I live in Florida and we were out of power with no generator for almost 2 weeks. We eventually got a generator once The American Red Cross shipped in a bunch. This idea right here would have powered my little FM radio I slept with and kept a light on for safety. Just, amazing. Thank you for sharing this. :-)

Simple, useful, very practical and just really very cool. Thanks for sharing this. I love it. Sometimes the most simple of ideas on here awe me. Seems as something I should have easily been able to think up. I suppose that's part of the beauty of the internet. Kudos. :-)

Cute idea. I have an old electronic mini helicopter with this exact mot, all the parts, it's perfect for this project. I just so happen to have a fingerboard and the best part is the remote still works so who knows what I can get going. Appreciate the idea. :-)

This is one of my favorite Instructables I have seen thus far. It is so simple, small and only requires a positive and negative charge and bam! You've got fire! I vape and also am a modder of PMVs and am very impressed by the simplicity of this. It has sprung an idea for a nano, stealth vaporizer. Very nice. Thanks for posting this. :-)

I love this! Mostly because my name is Joe'l and I recently came to find out the hospital made a mistake and did not put the apostrophe where it should be in my name spelled above. So, I'm Joel. Now, I definitely am going to make this little guy, or some version. :-) Very cute.

So simple and exactly what I needed to run across. I have a towel laid down because I don't like light bleeding into my bedroom from under the door when I sleep. I like total darkness. Personal preference. Total silence as well. I'll continue to work on that. For now, I'll have to just stick to ear plugs. :-) So obvious, yet it likely never would have crossed my mind. Thank you for taking the time and creating this instructable.

Lol. First, I would like to thank you for the casual demeanor in which you wrote this. Very soothing and to be perfectly honest it happens to be one of the BEST suggestions I have heard to deal with all the bulls*** (I don't want to curse in a comment & it not be posted, if that's the "rules" on here.) in your head, just generally. Awesome instructable. Love it, two thumbs up my friend. :-)

This looks like something that would be perfect to use for when people get out of the pool. I could shape this virtually any way or design I like and it'd be a good way for water to drain off onto the bricks before coming inside. You've got some of the very best Instructables ideas I've seen on here. Kudos.

This is sincerely one of the best Instructables. It's purposeful, looks great, would add so much space to carry things I need on a day to day. I bicycle A LOT. About 10 miles a day and being able to have free hands is crucial where I live. This is awesome looking and would take time, really give you the satisfaction of knowing you put forth the effort. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!!

I'm about to get started on a version of this project. I have no technical training in electronics or soldering but I do enjoy tinkering with various electronic components. I have yet to "master" soldering. Thus far, every time I have tried to solder something the solder tends to bead up and not make a connection and I wind up with a pile of small beads of wasted solder, as it rolls right off of the intended position I want it to stick. I really love that you mentioned touching the iron tip to the wire intended to be connected to whatever it is being connected to. Thus, giving the metal, or solder rather, a chance to adhere to it's intended post. Thank you for that valuable piece of information. I'll post mine when finished. Crossing my fingers. Here goes nothing. Well, hopefull…
