Hmm interesting. I'll admit I'm not the best modeler so there may be some non-manifold mesh issues with some of the models. You could try using the free software Meshmixer to solidify them and make them manifold. Lots of online tutorials.
Yes I did used different coloured bases. The brand was sunlu. I can't quite remember the names but it doesn't really matter too much. I just used different colours because I would need less paint and I had the colours available. You could just as easily print the entire thing in white and just paint everything (maybe with an initial spray paint primer).
Thank you so much! No I never made any of the expansions and probably won't due to the amount of time it takes to model the pieces. Hope that's not too saddening :(
Thanks! This is an amazing guide for getting your print settings right: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-t...It looks like you might have over extrusion or over heating (or both). Follow the guide to adjust your print settings.I managed to print them fine at 0.2mm layer height. Sometimes going smaller can be detrimental so I reckon try to get it working at 0.2mm first.Good luck!
Look up 3D printing services in your area. You will be able to find somewhere that will print it. It's quite a lot of printing so might cost a lot if you don't have your own 3D printer.
These look incredible! What a great print and paint job :)No knight and city walls unfortunately but I highly recommend trying to 3D model them yourself.
Making a local mountain is such a cool idea! I love it!!!
Yeah just the standard .4mm. It does a good enough job on the detail in my opinion. Feel free to go with .2 but you may run into more issues with jamming etc if your settings aren't perfect. .1 is pretty tough to print with.
Looks amazing! I love the custom mountain and paint job. Two sets must have taken such a long time to print! 😮
Awesome! :)I don't have instagram. Feel free to just credit this instuctables account.
This is Incredible! The water tiles, ports and card look so nice!I love the high contrast playing pieces and white tile borders. It makes them stand out so much better. I'm tempted to do a bit of a repaint of my set now.Congratulations on finishing the set :)
Great observation! I have been storing them in the standard catan box (with the plastic insert removed) and have had a couple of pieces break like the windmill and a sheep. The paint seems fairly durable though. It might be best to use a plastic snap lock container with some foam. I think this is the rout I will take.Good luck finishing the printing :)

Nice work! I love this so much! The paint job is so clean.
Good point with the desert tile, nice change! I absolutely love how your set turned out! The paint job is incredible.Aww you gave the sheep little black faces! Since you fully coloured the player pieces it must be a lot easier to see them. In our set they blend a bit more into the background. I also really like the light coloured borders between the tiles.Really nice job! Better than our set! :)
Nice work! I love the clean paint job.
Hey, It turns out that that file has a problem with a non-manifold mesh! It's the files fault not yours. We ended up just snipping the trees off because they were falling off anyway. (you can see the trees missing in the photos). If you do have any printing problems in the future here's an extremely useful website for diagnosing print problems: https://rigid.ink/pages/ultimate-troubleshooting-guideHope that helps!
¡Es increíble que lo hayas hecho funcionar! ¿Puedes compartir tu código / apk para que otras personas puedan hacerlo funcionar también?
No its not but the files are all in the instructable. Or you can get them here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1z5la8vqnu7u48h/AAD92T-O6n5W5J6Rl3GbOmOLa?dl=0Enjoy!
Hi,Your periodic table looks amazing! Congratulations! The first thing you should try is to get the Bluetooth working without the display or our app. Try following this tutorial: https://howtomechatronics.com/tutorials/arduino/arduino-and-hc-05-bluetooth-module-tutorial/Let me know if you can get the bluetooth working, then I can see if I can help you with the app.
