  • Fabricating Fishing Line Artificial Muscle at Home

Hi Emiliom, with a single strand I can generate about 16% contraction. But There are two methods I have recreated that can generate more. Helix style muscles which use two muscles in a double helix that pull together I can get 18% in optimum conditions. Then there is another formation that has you anneal a muscle while it's wrapped like a spring, this can generate +35% contraction but greatly dimminishes max lifting weight. You can find out more on my Hackaday.io that I update infrequently.https://hackaday.io/project/157004-material-linear-actuator-for-robotics

You would need to forward that port on your router and then go to your outward facing IP address. This instructable only covers using this from your local network. Hope that helps get you in the right direction.
