Hi Mariah,Yes the glitter does develop a beautiful patina over time! With black, gold, and rose gold it's not very noticible, but you will see it more with the Vintage Silver glass glitter. If you leave it exposed to the air, it will slowly start to tarnish to a vintage-looking finish. However, if you really love the bright silver finish it has before it tarnishes, you can seal the glitter with something like our Clear Coat or Tough Coat to minimize the amount of air that reaches the glitter.

Hi there!Because our Hemp Oil is not a food grade product, it won't have as limited of a shelf life. If left unsealed it would eventually go rancid I imagine, but I've been using it for years and I've yet to run into problems!

Hi there! Our Natural Wax is a 100% natural furniture wax that's used to seal painted furniture to protect them. It contains beeswax, carnauba wax, and walnut oil. It is a firm wax but you don't need to melt it before applying it!

Hi Mara,This particular piece was actually painted with several colors that have now been discontinued. From top to bottom, they're called Enchanted, Ever After, Glass Slipper, and Wishing Well. The closest colors that we have available now would be Ooh La La, Mermaid's Tale, Nightfall, and Wanderess.

Hi! An oxidized finish typically has a bit of patchy texture to it.... however you could apply the teal paint a little more evenly than just stippling it on like in our example. Perhaps try creating wear on the edges of the surface rather than all over. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the input! Everyone has different techniques and different preferences of course. We like how the hand held sponges are easy to manipulate in and around corners and tricky areas like spindles.

That's a great question! It really depends on the type of finish you're working with and the paint you're using. If the previous varnish is very shiny, it's always a good idea to give it a scuff sanding to remove some of the sheen and give the paint more to adhere to. If you're working with a water-based paint like ours, you'll need to make sure that the previous paint or varnish wasn't oil-based, otherwise priming might be necessary. As we all know oil and water don't mix, and a water-based paint won't be able to adhere to an oily surface.I hope these tips help with your next project!~Sarah
