Hello, I did not do anything to prime the booster. It operates off engine vacuum so I don’t know of a need to do anything special when installing it. If you disconnect any hydraulic brake lines to move the master cylinder you will have to bleed your brake system before driving the vehicle. I didn’t disconnect any hydraulic lines, so I was able to avoid this extra step.

Haha, I don't blame you there! The 2.7 was known to have a ton of issues. I lucked out and have the decent 3.2 in my car. It did blow one engine due to oil change issues from the previous owners (bought it that way and picked up a 3.2 with similar miles from the junkyard to replace). But now it has 224k on it and still runs great.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! I'll try and get a picture of what the dummy tape looks like sometime here soon.
Nice! I wonder if there would be any way to fool it into thinking that the CD is ok... Hard to tell though because this could be a communications signal that gets sent and that could be difficult to hack.
View Instructable »Thanks Meatlove, thats not a bad idea. Would be nice to be able to switch between functions (and maybe place the switches in the cassette opening). I read over your instructable and it looks good! I may try something like that, I ordered a bluetooth audio module for about $5 the other day, but it doesn't have a nice case like that. I hope to make a PCB that lets me switch from the aux input to bluetooth with just the push of a button or switch, but we'll have to see how that goes lol.
Ah that makes sense. If you replaced the master cylinder you will have to bleed your brakes to get all of the air out of the hydraulic lines. I left the master cylinder connected when I repaired ours so I didn’t have to bleed them.
