I've edited to make a list. It's 4" PVC
- CyberJaws commented on CyberJaws's instructable Slosh Pipe
I can fix this. However I am not a builder. I don't know what these things are. I used 4" PVC and really you can just use end caps. It isn't required that it be able to open. You could fill it and seal it and the weight would be set. I saw that "pressure test plug" and thought that it would be easier to use then the end that had the screw cap for changing the amount of water. I had made one before with a PVC end that screwed off but it was hard to use.
This is for sure an out door exercise with much space requirements! You could make them smaller. I made a 6 foot one, but the whole balance center of gravity factor is lessened.
Yeah, that isn't PVC glue. Didn't realize till after. Wasn't paying attention. The stuff in the picture is the wrong stuff.
View Instructable »I screwed up and the stuff in the picture is actually thread sealant. But they make a PVC glue. It is right there in the PVC isle. Works great. Any industrial glue could work, but it could leak.

I don't think you could reuse them.
View Instructable »Yes. Super important. Anything like this, making extract, making beer or spirits, jellies or jams, it is important that everything be super clean.

I can't remember if I did with these. I think I just washed them. But it is a good idea to sterilize. When I do projects like these I use "Star San" Sanitizer. You can get from any brew shop.

They are not that aerodynamic. But could make some modification to make them projectiles. If you make that into an instructable let me know!
View Instructable »You can dress them up anyway. could use foam board or actual fabric for the capes. Plush different shapes. I made a Batman one with the kids and he had a sleeker perferated at the bottom cape.

Before and after. I used 80-proof vodka. I recommend Tito's for any infusing or making of extract. (Sorry for the late reply)

Hi, there is a guide for pH but I did not find it very useful that is something I will have to do more research for and do an update. Bad bacteria means if anything is dirty it can make your batch spoil. I will have to do an update. Thank for the suggestion. (Sorry for the late reply)

Not a bad suggestion. Having used these for a while now I am finding lots of stuff that could be done different, perhaps I will do an update. Thanks for the suggestion. (Sorry for the late reply)

The longer you leave them the stronger. I'm not sure what to do with them after. They wouldn't be very good. (Sorry for the late reply)

I don't see why not. We didn't have one when this was posted. Do now. Maybe we will have to try it in the stand mixer. Let me know if you do and how it works.
