Interesting idea to try and use something that small, how about a video?

I have not run into this problem. I believe that the window I built on the right side did the job of removing condensation. I want to add that it did this even when two people were sleeping in the trailer and with an air conditioner running in it. You didnt raise this issue, but i would not consider cutting a hole at the top of the plexi to remove condensation. I ultimately takced my plexi glass down and this ked to cracking it. Another option would be to create 2 4 x4 plexi windows with a small, covered opening to release condensation in the middle. But i disnt need to so that.I am finishing up with my redo of the roof. It lasted pretty long with just stain!I will post my update this weekend, with my new, non destuctive way of attaching the plexi. It will involve creating slots to slide the plastic into/along with, along with a strip across the top (that is already covered by a spar anyway.All of this is really just for road travel - the first time i drove with it it was not tacked down and it kept slipping back. - no danger of it coming out, but it was annoying.I have traveled with it on several multi hour trips and it drives great!

I forgot to add- i also use a double fan that both cools the trailer - fan 1 and circulates air out of it - fan 2.I am not sure how you would do this in cold weather - its not much of a problem for me in florida.

Hey man.This one cost quite a bit - between 2 and 3 K believe it or not. The roof was covered by those ondura roofing sheets during the day. The clear roof was for nighttime use. I eventually even used a screen instead of the plexiglass - I put the plexiglass into my Teardrop build.

Hi, thanks for your question.The first problem was predictable: separting your foundation/floor into 4 pieces means that your floor will be uneven unless the ground is fairly flat. This problem could be solved by resting the pallets on 8 foot long 4x4s, but that adds to what you have to carry around, reducing the "traveling" aspect of the teahouse.The second problem are the screw in posts: I rushed this part. I think it might be improved by having the posts screw into blocks attached to the pallet, with the screw holders secured in place better than they are now. The issues now are that the posts are scratching up the pallet and the screw holders are unscrewing from the pallet with repeated use.I plan on doing an update as I created a doorway for the front using a piano hinge.

Cool! Relatively easy for a teardrop trailer build.... but be sure to make your roof waterproof!

I would estimate 500 lbs, the full size mattress included, PLUS what the harbor freight trailer weighs.

To look at this in a different direction, I built a 5x10 foot Tiny Traveling Tea House. My only regret in the build was the attempt to make it high enough to stand up in! It was a terrible mistake for several reasons:1) Think carefully about how much you actually stand up in your house in the first place. Seriously. Yes, you walk in, you may walk from room to room, but for the most part you sit, or even recline when you are in your house. The major reason for standing/walking is usually to go from room to room. WELL... when you have one room, where are you going to walk to?2) The higher the structure, the more difficulty in moving it. 3) The additional cost both in construction and in heating/cooling do not warrant it.
