You saved me a lot of time! :-)All "ESP8266 and ESP32 OLED" examples work as expected with:SSD1306 display(0x3c, 5, 4); // Address, SDA=5, SCL=4I purchased my board from Banggood:https://www.banggood.com/Wemos-Nodemcu-Wifi-For-Ar... Just some feedback:o The SSD1306ClockDemo generates a build error on missing TimeLib.h include file. I suggest you to run the "git clone" command again, because your hidden .git directory is probably missing. Then you can run "git pull" again.Success!

Thanks for your response. You can use your Windows 10 laptop.I used a "clean" windows installation" when I created this Instructable. I recommend to:- Uninstall previous Adruino IDE installations to prevent version conflicts.- (re)install Cygwin with the latest packages. (Otherwise you can get build errors)- An existing 32-bit Java 8 installation can be used, otherwise reinstall Java. (Otherwise you can't build and run the new IDE)That' it! Success!

Thanks for your feedback.The position of the wire (coper and plastic isolation) in the connector is critical. I had many damaged connectors when the wire moves a few millimeters when placing the wire with connector in the crimp tool. For this reason, I invented step 7 to fold the pull relief first. This keeps the wire in position which is a huge improvement for me. I leave it up to the reader to test step 7 and post feedback. Maybe it is not needed with every tool.
