You are absolutely right! The solar panel that comes with the kit is not powerful enough to charge the batteries and i measured that it can reach 60 degree C. In direct sun... a fire hazard. This is why I decided to separate the power bank from the solar panel... and it it allows for a much more powerful panel.

Thank you for the good words ! Tried to make it as explicit as I could. Indeed, carbon footprint is an issue but in the end you re-use 3 batteries which otherwise would have ended up in garbage or recycle... and it still works with solar energy and a good reminder that we can all do a little contribution for the environment. Tx again !!!
