Reece,Sure, You can use a linear potentiometer instead (e.g. 20 Ohm). Not much current will pass through the resistor. This part is only used to increase the measured resistance. So that the nozzle gets less hot.

Thanks,I already have a some experience with the Raspberry Pi. And at the moment I only use two USB functions: mouse and keyboard. Another functions has been worked out: mass storage. But this currently conflicts with the read-only setup. This makes it possible to use the free space on the SD card as USB storage for the client. And all files can be read by the firmware of the keyboard. For example, it should be possible to record macros, and change them from the client using a regular text editor.

You don't have to change anything in the firmware. The (stock) Anet firmware will give an error message (connected by USB). But you can ignore these errors.extruder 0: temp sensor defectheated bed: temp sensor defectError:Printer setinto dry run mode until restart!

A 150 Watt Co2 laser should be able to cut 1 mm stainless steel. And Epilog has a Fiber Laser (somehow out of my budget). This is a diode laser, and not a Co2 laser tube.

Actually, I had thought that Microsoft would eventually make a solution for this. And I never thought about making an app for this. But because this is my most visited instructable (!), apparently there is a need for this.I have not yet tested your app, but it looks good in the app store!https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sk.a2k.mcpebaresy.pro

I have noticed that the dremel affects the power supply of the Anet printer when connected to the same extension cord. This will reset the printer after turning on the dremel.

I've thought about the additional wire, and my first design had an EL wire around the numbers. You can hear the relays switching. Not really loud, but you can hear them. Currently the hours are connected to relays. And the minutes are switched by triacs. This causes the clock to make a sound once per hour (I've ordered parts to replace all relays by triacs). This is a large clock. I did not want to bend the EL wire too sharply. The first triac circuit gives problems. Use the Sparksfun circuit instead.
View Instructable »I believe these are edge lighted acrylic panels. (https://www.instructables.com/Edge-Lit-Displays/).It should be possible to make the numbers with CNC in a transparent plate. Place these in IKEA Härliga glass domes. This gives even more of a Nixie look. Thin silver electric wires must be neatly concealed. And the EL wire must be made exactly to length.

There is a way to make this clock the half of the current size. This requires to remove the (colored) coating for the entire wire. This gives a "blue" EL wire with a diameter of about 1.2 mm.

Definitely a great idea to experiment with. Wouldn't be an idea to add a counterweight? This could give a better video, and it makes handling this spinner more easy.

Thanks for the corrections.I have considered using a Wemos (ESP8266). Each Led matrix uses 288 x 3 bytes, and the memory space for variables is limited. Updating the LEDs should be done by means of an interrupt. Otherwise, the display "freezes" for a while when retrieving weather data.
