Hi Shebenstreit! That's the lap-steel guitar my awesome husband made me for my 21st :) He started with a piece of rare cedar he inherited from his grandfather and based the design on the stradivarius phoenix. He made those scrolls with a chisel and there's an inlay on the back that he made using a chisel and filler. He fitted a Gibson Les Paul bridge and string retainers, Taylor electrics and a DiMarzio Humbucker pick-up. It is an incredible work of art and plays like a dream. I'll add some pics so you get to see it close up :)
