There are specialty plywood stores that sell longer sheets and som thin, flexible kinds of plywood that are good for some types of boats or pontoons.
Have you seen the scenes built into Altoids tins? Some are anazing. I've been in love with miniatures since seeing dioramas and netsuki at the Peabody Museum in Salem, Ma. They are beautiful and still on display, as far as I know.
Although rarely free any more, cigar boxes are excellent for many projects. Total wine sells them for about $3. This kind of diorama would look great in one.
That is a beautiful tool. I look forward to seeing your others. I have been facinated with miniatures since I was young, ( I'm 68 ). I hope to do something similar, but smaller. Thank you for reminding me.
