This is brilliant! This can very easily be commercialised in water strapped Countries for hotels public bathrooms ect. 1 extra PCB, a relay and a garden valve, you can dispense predetermined amounts of water! Great job!!

Hey Man!Awesome build, I have made one myself here in South Africa, and it goes great. However, you will find that the design of your custom exhaust is actually slowing you down. Check out the theory of "expansion chambers" and how they can help! Cheers!
Thanks! :) Not bad at all for the roof truss wood, but the 150x150mm laminated beams were very expensive!Minimum length order of 12m, so massive piece for ZAR8000.Then we had to cut ourselves.. so not mistakes allowed!
Haha thanks! Thats what happens when you bring in "outside help" ! ;)
Thanks! Well if you saw on the brick frame, there are 2 slightly shorter wall left in there doing nothing - this is future planning to build in a wood burning braai. ;)But for now, having the gas has additional benefits of backup for power outages!Cheers!
THANK YOU!You inspired me to build a similar patio of my own! I have attempted to give you credit in my post! Please check it out and let me know what you think!

Looks Awesome!I am going to try this ASAP and post the results!I live in South Africa, (hot and dry winter) with wet summers, but I personally live by a river, so mozzies, miggies, moths and all are a nightmare!!http://www.zeekoevlei.co.za/2011/10/zeekoevlei%E2%80%99s-midges-or-%E2%80%98miggies%E2%80%99/
Awesome! Good thinking all round! :)I am in the process of building a patio / pergola (will be my first project post on Instructables!) and was just thinking of all the issues raised my side!
Awesome build - well done! However, I see very green grass meaning, lots of water? Are you not worried placing the posts direct into the ground are going to rot in the near future?
Hey!So I Googled this type of thing and came across a whole bunch of designs I could copy - Then I moved on to my trusted favorite - Instructables.com!! Only to find all the images I saved from Google were from you - DeZine! Thanks! Epic build - We all know as South Africans how expensive basics can be, and if you have a hammer and a good eye, you can save your selfs thousands!I am going to attempt this (or the more rustic version - I don't want such straight edges for my style) in the next few weeks and will defs post an Instructable for my version!Thank you! Will push credit you way!PS - Where you looking to get the foam?
