Thank you!! It is an absolute blast seeing it come together. Lots of fun during the process. Working on a new jig to round the shell that will make life much easier! Taking pics as I go so I can post the build when it’s done. Check my page occasionally, hopefully I’ll have it done in a couple weeks and start on my next build.

Thank you! Definitely took some research on building the router jig to round the shell. When I make my new jig I will post instructions on how to build it.

I’ve played with the idea of tongue and groove. Not sure if I’m ready to attempt that route yet, lol! I can definitely see the structural integrity it would create but I honestly haven’t had any signs of separation so far. I play the hell out of this one!
Thank you so much!
I agree!
Thank you kindly! I don’t believe it has any effect on the sound. That being said on my next build I will test that theory out. I’ll build it, stain and seal the outside. Record it, then finish the inside to hear the difference. One of the best sounding kits I’ve ever owned was a Gretsch USA customs kit. It had Jasper shells with a silver coat lining sprayed on the inside of the shells. Those shells were amazing!
