I guess you could hook t up to either. I would hook to the higher elevated one, water drains down hill. Most important thing, is that all water is removed from lines and tanks, no water, no freeze damage.
Could try hooking up to the shut off valve, under a sink. It won't deliver as much air as fast as a larger valve would. Maybe install a new valve, so you can easily winterize.

perhaps try a heat gun or small torch to rid those pesky air bubbles. after pouring the epoxy, a little heat, from the top, makes the bubbles rise to the surface and pop. careful epoxy can catch fire.
