Tell us about yourself!
You would need either a phase converter, basically another electric motor and control box where you would pull the other two phases of electricity from or a VFD (solid state option), either way you would run into trouble with the timer and selector mechanism in the washer. In a nutshell? It wont work, find yourself an appropriately sized single phase motor and replace the one that came out of it. That is the only real solution.
Well done! Thanks for taking the time to explain this. I have a background in solid state electronics and have a general class FCC license. Your treatise on AC single phase motors will give anyone from the experienced to noob the tools and knowledge to DIY in the finest of fashions. Thanks for the effort.Jerry
