Hi many thanks for your comments.I have thought about the Servos and maybe making more of a maze game rather than labyrinth, I would use the bigger 996 servos, standard servo code I think would be too aggressive but there are libraries out there to smooth Servo movements.I would like to design a maze using Fusion 360 or Vetric.Good luck with your project and I look forward to seeing it 👍

Hi,Many thanks!
View Instructable »Thanks, I think Off-road will need a more specialised lighting system to highlight the route.I'm riding on public highways with street lighting mainly, the 3D printed light just covers a bigger area right in front of me where I need it to dodge Pot-Holes etc.

Hi there, its just called Arduino Nano Servo Shield V3 as in the photo. As for line connections, the connections are as they are in the code, just follow the pinout numbers from the driver board to the Nano shield, the shield is a Servo shield so we are only using the "S" in both the digital and Analog pinouts, all 5v are soldered and sleeved as are the Grounds and the supply is taken from the 5v and Gnd pins on the shield, there are 2 sets of 5v and Gnd pins on the shield.Hope this helps.

Hi and thanks for your comments. You could just have a still life, it would work great, a strip of LED’s with a battery pack and remote are really cheap, add a few plastic plants and some pebbles, job done, they do bigger lures as well! Have fun if you have a go at making one!

Hi there, there is no detailed plan as such, I roughly sketched it up using Vetric Desktop, then just made circles where I thought they would work the best, to be honest I added more barriers as I tested it, you can make your own designs for the base, and make them Interchangeable, its fun just making the course I thought.
Hi, That is worth noting, I still like the idea of a joystick, the versions with 2 knobs for control look a bit awkward.I think I have enough room to put an angled base in the box, so that the ball will run to a corner and into a trough, thankyou for the comment.
View Instructable »Hi, thankyou very much for the comments you have made and the advice, I think a lot of the time with these projects I'm just using scraps of material I have lying around and it's a great way to use them up, I agree with you on the surface of the MDF, it is a bit abrasive with the steel ball.I think another thing is, prior to starting this project, I had everything at hand like some bearings for the dowel, or like you say make some brass sleeves etc, all do able it's just thinking about doing at the time which is the issue:)) and I will re-visit it, in fact at this very moment I have just put together an Arduino sketch for 2 Servo's with Joystick control, I will give that a try at some point, I just think servo's are a bit to erratic, at lease with the steppers the movements are smooth, al…

Hi and yes at the moment it is just a case of lifting it up and gathering the balls, good point though.
View Instructable »Hi and thanks, I thought about using Servo’s for axis movement, but thought they maybe too fast, could maybe use a Servo smoother sketch or something, valid point though

Hi Ira,I still haven't got round to starting the my project clock with the different stepper motors I want to use, how are you controlling the steps per minute of the stepper motors within the code as I think mine will be different. Many Thanks
View Instructable »Many thanks Ira, it’s a great project, I was supposed to start it over Christmas but it never happened, another thing I want to ask was do the magnets and sensors have to be in the 12 o clock position for both hands? Thanks once again

Hi Ken, If it's of any help, Ive added an STL into the Instructable, Ive scaled up the heart so it would fit nicely into a piece of wood 90mm x 90MM say 18mm deep but you can still scale down or up within Fusion 360 to suit your project, hope this helps.

Hi Ken, not an STL file as such, more g.code as it’s made out of wood on a cnc machine, I can do another if you’d like to 3 print one, do you have a size in mind? Cheers

Hi, no it’s not a Fresnel lens, have a look on Amazon A4 Magnifiers you will find them, the one I used was x2 magnifying. Hope this helps
Hi yes indeed! Very similar, I may even take the flexible arms out of the stand and place them separately around the board, more central work area then.

Hi, Many thanks for the information, I must have missed that. Many thanks, I will let you know how I get on but it may be a while.
Hi,Love the clock and great Instructable, I would like to have a go at building one with 360 degree BK30 Stepper motors, I noticed in your code that you don't have the pin outs for the stepper motors, I'm not fully conversant with Arduino codes but stepper motor codes usually have pin outs? I may be missing something. Many Thanks
Hi forget my last message, I’ve had a further look through the Instructable and it makes sense now, I didn’t read it thoroughly, the master with rtc, no dip switch or stepper driver and 24 slave clocks. Cool, many thanks
View Instructable »Hi Something else I don’t quite understand, the master code doesn’t have any pin outs and how is this used within the clock, I know there is 1 master and 23 slaves, the slaves working with the dip switches all driven from the master, I will get my head found it at some point, thanks

Hi, well there are bigger Wall-e’s on YouTube , so yes is the answer to that. The eyes do light up, not sure what you mean really. With Easyvr 3 which is the software where voice commands and sounds are created, you can record any sounds and create many different voice commands etc. with ref to making it quieter, not really when you are using servos etc Hope this helps Regards Kev
