What exactly does the helicopter do if you were to skip the logic inverter? would it just reverse which of the two coaxial motors run? If so, you could just swap the motors or resolder the motors to a different polarity, right?

This is really well done. I hadn't heard of the HC-12 module until now.I wish I would have known about the HC-12 earlier before I made my own mailbox notifier using two ESP-01 modules. One was flashed with a firmware to make it a WiFi range extender for the mailbox sensor, and the other as a mailbox sensor with code that connected to the extender, sent a alert message to my phone via Blynk, then went into deep sleep mode until power was disrupted. I used a simple normally closed metal ball bump switch mounted to my wobbly mailbox as the sensor to reset the device, and I pried off the built-in LEDs to save power.Your design sounds more reliable with better range.The code for both are on our website www.makersa.ga if you are curious.Thanks!

I made a somewhat similar proximity triggered servo device that only requires the controlling phone to have its built-in hotspot enabled:https://www.instructables.com/id/Versatile-NearBot/It could automatically unlock and re-lock a door latch as *only you* pass by, shut off a sprinkler valve so you can pass through the water unscathed like a sort of suburban Moses, lower speaker volume while you are in the garage band room, trigger a iPod playing a dramatic entry tune or tell a joke while you are in the room, or pause a movie when you get up to use the restroom.

What kind of maximum range are you getting between the control system and the FPV system? In my experience, AIO FPV units have less range when lower to the ground because the signal attenuates to the earth.

This blows my mind in how resourceful it is! So you just disconnected two out of three connections in the motor, and it generates AC polarity switching? Any guesses what frequency it switches at? I know a lot of devices require 60Hz.

This is actually pretty cool. Nice work. Here's an interesting idea; You could make a 360 degree "aimbot" scanning version of this using an non-contact heat sensing module that triggers a relay which is connected to a spinning base motor on the normally ON pin, and a solenoid to pull the sprayer on the normally OFF pin. The whole unit would spin until it detects heat, then stops spinning and sprays until the heat source is cool again, then it would resume spinning. I made something similar for a flashlight tag robot turret using a light sensor instead of a heat sensor. You could also use a sound sensor as a "hunter hunter bot" which fires back at sources of paintball gunfire. Imagine a quiet study room turret bot which sprays loud people with water!

I had made something like this years ago with an ultrasonic distance sensor and individually addressable LEDs along a hallway. The lamp nearest to the user would light up and shut off once the user passed it. The downside was that the distance sensor was not accurate past 17 feet or so, and the person had to be of average height in order for the sensor to detect them.Your idea is so much more effective.

That's so resourceful! Another thing to check if a fan won't spin is to open the cage, remove the blade, pull out any hair stuck around the motor shaft, then re-assemble the fan.

I like it. Check out my instructable which also shows a simple but unique way to drop a glider or other item from a drone. I used the least often used motion of a drone (rotation) to unscrew and release a glider once lifted to the desired altitude.

Does the ESP32 board use less power when using Bluetooth instead of WiFi?

Nice work. This will be handy for my future projects.Couldn't you just use the servo library to call a specific degree of rotation? I've used one of the servo libraries with a NodeMCU Lolin V3 board based on the ESP8266 chip with pin D2 for signal and 3.3v for servo power without any issues. Does the Arduino IDE have Bluetooth capability with the ESP32? I thought the ESP32 has a bluetooth transceiver built in. How much current can does the ESP32 board output for VCC and GPIO?Sorry to ask so many questions!

Hmm... Do you have a d1 mini pro, or d1 mini lite? Lite version uses ch340g driver which I supplied, but the Pro version of the D1 mini requires a different driver https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/... I am not sure if the firmware is compatible with both.Try flashing it again ensuring you have the correct COM port, then hit the reset button on the d1, then use a different device (phone, other desktop, ipod) to scan again for the hotspot. You could shut off wifi on that device, then enable it once more before scanning (refresh) to look for the hotspot ap.Let me know here what the result was!
