Ohh, now I understand. I was thinking to make two identical pieces, to split the piece across the vertical making two halves, then splitting across the diameter.
in the pic's he is shown making a solid ring, never shows cutting that solid in half, he then jumps to the ring already split and turning the concave side.
beautiful design, but I do not see the step where you split the solid ring in two so you can hollow out the inside of the outer ring to make room for the inside drawer. Seems like there are 2 big steps missing.
I am wondering about how the whole ring was sliced in half in order to hollow out the inside before cutting it in half again to make 2 that glue together.
Could this be used to make a automatic filler for my swimming pool. A valve to turn on and off the water line to fill the pool when the level gets low.
If I am reading this correctly, I would already have to have a 3D printer to make this new one.
